6/7/11 - It's a double dip DREAM!

I'm now looking to see if we get upgraded. :lmao:
We had our stateroom number from the day we booked, though. And I have been told that it is rare once you have an assigned a stateroom.
Did anyone get upgraded? :surfweb:

Holy Moly - all of our countdown timers say 1 month!!!! I mean, yeah, it says 4 weeks and 1 day after it, but still! How EXCITING!!!!! Momma's gotta work on her tan!

My daughter (16) and her best friend (16) are really looking forward to this cruise. It has been another crazy year with school (Junior Year), learning to drive :scared1:, competing (she is a gymnast - they both are), and dealing with the whole college recruiting process. She has decided to commit to Michigan State University, so that is one decision made.:thumbsup2
She did very well at the State Meet, so we are off to the Regional Meet in New Orleans next week. Hopefully all will go well for them there and they both will qualify to the National Meet in Long Beach, CA in May.
Please send prayers and pixie dust there way next Saturday and Sunday. :grouphug:

That is so cool!!! My son is a competing gymnast, he's 8, level 6. Michigan is a great gymnastics college and great academic college. We've gone to Ann Arbor for meets, it's a great area! :thumbsup2

Did everyone else get the email about renting tuxes? I thought we had a semi formal night, but the email says formal. I posted on the regular board and got an answer that anything dressy goes. I don't plan on renting a tux for DH nor wearing an old bridesmaid dress! I do hope I booked Palo for that same night, at sea? We'll be going to the earlier dinner with our girls so at least we'll already be dressed for Palo.

We were never that formal on formal night but my husband did wear a sports jacket and tie.

Sending your daughter prayers and pixie dust for next weekend. :wizard: The regional meet is in my neck of the woods.

Yes, Kelly! Me, too! I've been laying out for a few minutes each day but it actually RAINED here in Phoenix today! Poured all day! Supposed to get nice again this week, though, so I'm going to spend the week by the pool! lol Just want to practice for the cruise...

Also, gave up our Palo ressies today. Time didn't work and I was stressing about how we were going to organize the kids. I have to say, I feel so much better - but I'm going to get wait listed if possible for a different day/time! :)

Thanks. I need Pixie Dust too that I can find my way around the New Orleans area - the meet is in Westwega, LA. Usually my husband is around to help navigate to and from the meets, but I am on my own. He gets a pass on this meet since the reason he can't go is that he is running in the Boston Marathon on that Monday. I guess that is a good excuse.:rotfl2:

I am really looking forward to our cruise and a lot of relaxation!

We are still listed as GTY. Should I call and ask about getting a room number or just patiently wait for the assignment?:rolleyes1

I asked this question on another board and the answer I got was that it could be the 30 day mark before a room # was assigned....

Trust me, I know how hard it is patiently waiting (we just got our assignment last Friday!), but that is what I would do. Only because they're not going to do anything until they (DCL) are ready to. I would at least give it another few weeks. :hourglass

Hi Mark. Is your dog a Goldendoodle? We have one, too! They are sooo sweet.

Hi, He is an Australian Labradoodle. This will be his first cruise. I hope he is a good cruiser. My last Service Dog had 9 cruises (all Disney). He loved it.

Ah, you will be on the other side of the Mississippi River. Westwego is about 30 minutes from where I live. I don't travel there too much but my husband knows how to get around that area. Let me know if we can help you or answer any questions about the area.

I see the competition is at the Alario Center. Are you staying close to the Alario Center or in the city itself? If you are staying in New Orleans you will have to travel across the river for the competition. The good news is it's easy to get to.

Wishing your husband good luck in the Boston Marathon..... You have one athletic family!

Thanks for saying it will be easy to get around, that is what I was hoping to hear.:yay:
I do have an athletic family. I wish I could complete athletically at the level they do, but I am happy to cheer them on. We are just the transportation and cheering section for my daughter. She returns the favor to her Dad by supporting his Ultra-Marathon running. His craziest run so far was to run 100+miles over a 24 hour period on New Years Eve / New Years Eve. Lisa and I were his support crew during the race. However, we did catch a few hours sleep and only ran short distances with him. :cheer2::cheer2:
