6/7/11 - It's a double dip DREAM!

Hey all,
Long time, no post!XD

We've just booked the Radisson for Sunday and Monday, leaving for the cruise on the 10:30 shuttle.
:)
I'm extremly ready for the cruise, but also pretty nervous. We have decided to drive instead of fly this year. The kicker? We've had quite a few snowdays the last couple of months, meaning we have a lot of days to make up.
My tentative reschedualed graduation date is Saturday night June 4 , and the trip to Mickey Land takes about 20hours.....soooo we might be leaving for Florida
RIGHT AFTER GRADUATION!!!!!!:scared1:

It will be pretty crazy to say the least!

WOW! That WILL be cutting it close! But what a way to graduate!! :cool1:

Okay, got an answer to my question from one of the mods! The time you select is simply used by DCL to judge when people are arriving at the terminal so that they staff up accordingly. The terminal still opens at 10:30a and you still get a boarding group number on a first-come-first-served basis, and they still board the ship around noon time.

Thanks for posting this! :thumbsup2

YAY! Thanks! :thumbsup2

That's what I wanted to hear!!!

Thanks for sharing the info. :lmao::worship:

Hey everyone, just checking in to see how things are going. I just looked at my countdown clock and we have less than 100 days till we leave for WDW and then the cruise!

So here's some updated info. for the spreadsheet:

We are staying at Wilderness Lodge Villas from June 3-7. :lovestruc
Our cabin number is 7680.
We have main dining.
We will be celebrating our actual 18th anniversary on this cruise:bride: and hubby turns 45 on this trip also. So we will be partying on this cruise. party:

Does anyone know when the cut-off date is for the FE? I am gathering up some gifts and was just wondering how many families are joining in on the fun.

I'm thinking along the EXACT same lines as you!

MRP went on the maiden voyage - maybe she can shed some more light.

Here's another question. Do you get a range of times to choose from? What happens if you get a time earlier than when you can get there? And another - what happens if you miss your window? Do you get sent to the end of the line???

Unfortunately, I was on DCL transport - so I didn't have to deal with the arrival time option. I do know they didn't have that in place for the Dream and it got very crowded. I heard the first people there for the cruise arrived around 5am! I think they beat the ship in!

When I checked in, there were several time ranges to choose from - all were thirty minutes long starting at 10:30 and ending around 2 or so... (Sorry I don't remember exactly.)

I would be surprised if we got to board as early as 11 - I would think they would still be turning the ship from the previous cruise. I was on second dining, went to my scheduled breakfast and didn't get out of the terminal until 9:30-ish. The line to leave the ship was all the way back to the shops when I got in it. Evidently the issue was customs - they had not upped the number of agents in the terminal for the bigger ship...

We booked the 4th night (think that's the day we're in Nassau) so as not to miss any "firsts" with the restaurants.

Just a word of warning - on the MV, which was only 4 nights, night 3 was Pirate night and night 4 was rotation dining. I don't know if that will be the same on the 5 nights, but I'd hate for you to get a surprise on board.

You're good!

Oh wow, never thought of that! Thanks for the heads up! Think I'll try to move our Palo to the last night if we can.

Thanks for the info. :thumbsup2 I was worried that we would not get to board until later in the day.

As it stands right now, we want to get to the port as early as possible so we can look around and explore a bit.

Can you tell we are new at this? :rotfl2:

Ha! I've got news for you - that won't change on your second DCL cruise either! We're on #7 and still do everything we can to be at the port terminal when the doors open!:cool1:

Same here! Maybe we could camp out. :lmao:

We're doing WDW and staying at AKL before the cruise. It looks like we will be hiring a towncar for transport to the Port.

From the Disney Cruise Line website:

Only 100 days until your cruise sets sail!

:woohoo::dance3::banana::cool1::yay::cheer2:

Tonight we're having our 100 day party! We made a beach cake (pictures later!). We've also got lanyards for everyone to make and I made a faux room key to go inside of it. We'll play our DCL Memory game and listen to fun cruise music - maybe we'll even do a little dancing!

WooHoo - the cruise is almost here!! (Hey, we can say almost - our first cruise party was the 500 day party!)

Hi everyone. I haven't posted in months so I thought it was time to start catching up! I can't believe our 90 day window is almost here and I have no idea what I want to book! Our last cruise we booked all sorts of activities and dining, but got really lazy and canceled a lot of them! My In-Laws have decided to join us so that will be fun. The cruise is a surprise for our DDs (8 & 5). We are telling them that we are going to the beach so they won't be surprised that we are flying to FL. We are hoping to keep it quiet until we board the DCL bus at the airport! If 2 little girls are squealing with joy on your DCL bus, that is probably us!! However, it is getting tough since I am trying to discuss our plans with DH and DILs.
