6/7/11 - It's a double dip DREAM!

I got to dine at Remy last month - it's fantastic! I had to get brave for a course or two - and ended up finding the most incredible pasta I have ever eaten as a reward! Good luck getting in!

We have a wait, also. Can't wait to get activities booked. Is everyone going to go to Palo or is anyone planning on trying Remy? I think I'm going to try and book Remy but haven't told my dh he'll need to pack a jacket . . .

We'll definitely go for Palo - especially brunch. (I'd love to try Remy, but my husband wasn't thrilled with the menu and isn't a wine drinker.) Not sure abour Palo dinner as I really want to experience the new Dream restaurants and hate to miss even a repeat.

Snagged a Palo dinner :cool1:, but all brunches were gone. Also wanted to reserve a cabana on Castaway Cay, but still not available to book online.

Good luck everyone!

I was surprised to see a Remy dinner available! But I wasn't able to get a brunch, either... And wasn't that frustrating about checking-in? We really want an 11-11:30 arrival. But, I was able to get in this morning - of course, I didn't think to get my neice's passport info, so I still can't check in... :headache: Hopefully I'll hear from my brother or SIL today!

:confused3 What was frustrating????

It wasn't available. I tried until 11:20 last night and couldn't get in.

But - I was successful this morning (thank you, oh dearest brother of mine for calling from home before heading out to work with your daughter's passport number!!)! We got a 10:30 port arrival time! WooHoo! :cool1:

You have a port-arrival time? Does this mean they won't let you in until that time?

That's my understanding. I am assuming that we can park as early as we want (which won't be much earlier than 10:15, we have a 7:45 breakfast reservation in WDW).

I thought maybe it meant that, once checked in, you could begin to board the ship at your assigned time - i.e., rather than gathering a big crowd in the terminal building until noon. Just seems that there will be SO many more people in the terminal for a Dream cruise as compared to a Magic/Wonder cruise. Can the terminal handle it without letting people start to board earlier than they use to?

If they don't let you into the building until your time, that's a LOT of people on the sidewalk outside.

Who's taken a Dream cruise already and can fill us in?

I'm thinking along the EXACT same lines as you!

MRP went on the maiden voyage - maybe she can shed some more light.

Here's another question. Do you get a range of times to choose from? What happens if you get a time earlier than when you can get there? And another - what happens if you miss your window? Do you get sent to the end of the line???

I'm confused! I hope someone can clear this info up. I just called about something else and wish I would have read my disboards first so I could have asked! lol there was a 19 minute phone wait time so I'm not calling back! We are coming in the day before so we wanted to be there bright and early. If all of the early slots are taken (and that is a theme so far for this little adventure), I am not going to be a happy camper. Or cruiser. lol :lmao:

The online check-in gave a series of half-hour windows - beginning with 10:30which is what I grabbed. Sure would like to know what it really means though:confused3

Hey all,
Long time, no post!XD

We've just booked the Radisson for Sunday and Monday, leaving for the cruise on the 10:30 shuttle.
:)
I'm extremly ready for the cruise, but also pretty nervous. We have decided to drive instead of fly this year. The kicker? We've had quite a few snowdays the last couple of months, meaning we have a lot of days to make up.
My tentative reschedualed graduation date is Saturday night June 4 , and the trip to Mickey Land takes about 20hours.....soooo we might be leaving for Florida
RIGHT AFTER GRADUATION!!!!!!:scared1:

It will be pretty crazy to say the least!

Okay, got an answer to my question from one of the mods! The time you select is simply used by DCL to judge when people are arriving at the terminal so that they staff up accordingly. The terminal still opens at 10:30a and you still get a boarding group number on a first-come-first-served basis, and they still board the ship around noon time.
