Good morning from wet and dreary Northern IL! Of course, if it is wet on our cruise, it won't be dreary because, well, it will be a cruise!
Tigfanjeff, I really liked that video link you posted. It seems like the Icelandic language puts the emphasis on the first syllable, which is how my native language, Hungarian, does it. I shall emphatically emphasize that first syllable as I butcher the rest of the pronunciation, but hopefully I will still end up where I want to be while touring!
The former website looks fantastic! I look forward to seeing one for this cruise!
Ok, I agree with Shelby109 in regards to getting to know you all, especially since I don't know any of you, so here are my answers -
Where you are from: I live in the far, far western suburbs of Chicago, on the way to Dekalb, IL.
Who you are going with: My husband and my youngest DD, who will have finished sophomore year at University. Eldest DD is getting married this May, so I am done paying for her trips (but she is a great girl, so who knows, maybe she plays on our heartstrings and she comes, too - but not her husband, nope, not paying for him, no way

).
Favorite travel (ie fave
disney cruise or the best place you have travelled to): This will be our 10th Disney cruise, some more memorable than others, but they were all great. I suppose my favorite was the one we took my parents on 6 years ago - they had not been a ship since they crossed over the Atlantic as refugees from Communism. It was a wonderful trip, and my dad passed away 2 months later, so it this cruise is especially close to my heart.
Also loved my trip to Hungary with my dad and daughters when the girls were 12 and 7. Those two trips are my tops, I suppose. Well, then there is...no, too many good trips, so hard to choose! I just like vacations!
If you were a Disney character which one would you be? - Well, many years ago my eldest would've said I was the evil stepmother in Cinderella, except I am her actual mother! But then she made it through adolescence, so I don't fit that description anymore. Myself, I believe I am, hmm, a queen of some sort? The one in Brave, yes, many similarities there with the daughter!
And thanks also to the person that posted the link to the port in Iceland! What a great brochure! Those hot springs look great - hopefully we will have time for that. I like being warm!
