This was an excellent vacation for ALL of us. Even though we had some rain (which most people would not enjoy), we enjoyed it because where we live it hardly rains at all. So, it added to the Magic of Disney for us. The seas were very calm, almost like glass. Nobody in our party got ill.

Tara got introduced to all the Disney Characters at the Port while we were waiting to board. They all scared her of course, but by the end of the cruise all she wanted to do was find them and kiss them! I had so much fun watching her react to Pluto, Goofy, Mickey, Minnie (her favorite by the way), Donald and Daisy, and Chip and Dale. Every time she saw Captain Hook she scolded him. It was so cuuuute!

Anastasia met another 9 year old in the terminal and they were best friends throughout the entire cruise! They exchanged info and will hopefully keep in touch.

Recommendation: for those with sippy cups, bring dishsoap to wash them. I brought 3 with me, and tried to wash them with the antibacterial handsoap, and it just didn't get rid of the spoiled milk/rotten juice combination. Yuck!

Shirley from the perfect Gift did an excellent job on Tara's snail pail gift basket. I also ordered a minnie mouse hand puppet that she has yet to put down. The huge coloring books and crayons were also a big hit. Anastasia also loved her basket I ordered from Disney. I included a watch for her, and she shows it off every chance she gets.

The surprise Limo ride I had arranged went over very well. DH was relieved to not have to drive to Port Canaveral after the 4 hour flight. The kids enjoyed watching A Bug's Life they had playing in the limo. We stopped at a grocery store and picked up beer, soda, chips, snacks, etc.

Okay, the only thing about this trip that disappointed me was the Radisson. I was expecting something a little bit more upscale, but it looked (and smelled) basically like a motel 6:( I will not stay there again, it just didn't seem all that clean. Maybe it's the humidity of Fl, I don't know.

Check-In at the cruise terminal was great. WE had a good time waiting in anticipation to board the ship (we were about 30th in line). We boarded and DH headed right to Rockin Bar D to secure our Palo res. I went and registered Anastasia at the kid's club, and then headed to Flounder's to sign Tara up for our dates. DH actually beat me to Flounders, he got the night we wanted at Palos faster than I could register Anastasia. No lines yet, we were the first ones to sign up everywhere! We got all the dates we wanted at Flounders. There didn't seem to be as many infants as i imagined there would be. We even dropped her off at the last minute one night before dinner because she was sooooo cranky. Next time I will definately have the 1st seating. Even though we are 3 hours behind FL, the days are still long and poor baby was asleep at every meal, or cranky.

Even though our rooms weren't ready yet, we dropped off our carry-ons and headed up to Topsiders for lunch. I had heard on the disboards that this was a seafood buffet, but it wasn't. They only had shrimp, the rest was typical lunch buffet items. We were so hungy, and the chilled mango orange soup was the best thing I tasted in a long time. It doesn't sound that good, but it was excellent. WE then expolored the ship for awhile, and I headed back to the room to give Tara a much needed nap. DH and Anastasia swam in the pools. They returned at 4pm, just in time to finish unpacking and get ready for the safety drill at 4:30pm. The sailaway party had to be moved to the atrium because of the rain. We missed the Magic sounding off at sailaway (we actually didn't even here it until we were leaving castaway cay, the last day of the ship). I wish they would give a waring or something that it was going to sound off because we were disappointed that we never got to hear it:( There was always something noisy going on at the same time.

We attended the show, then Animator's Palate for dinner. I dressed in a red dress with white polka dots (similar to a Minnie theme). At dinner Tara was losing it and I had her in my lap. She proceded to pick up my butter knife and stab me in the eye:o Now, normally this would hurt, and then be okay. But, just one week prior I had Lasik eye surgery done. I was freaking out thinking she had damaged the flap, how will I get eye attention on the ship, etc. Ugh! I rushed to the restrooms and tried to compose myself. My eye is all red, tearing, and hurting. By the time I get myself composed somewhat and head back to the restaurant, the show in Animator's palate is over and it's all in color. I missed it:mad: My eye felt pretty good the next morning, and was okay after that. Off to a good night's rest before our Character breakfast and Key West!

Sure hope your eye is ok and it didn't spoil the rest of your trip.

The mention of Orange-Mango soup has me drooling - I can't wait to have some more of that.

Looking ofreward to the ret of your report.

Thanks for the reply to my post about the temperatures in the room and dining areas!! I am new to this so I also posted a reply to my Post thanking you. I guess this is the easier way to reach you, I hadn't realized you posted.

I was sorry to hear about your eye. Certainly not a good thing, especially with an 18 mo to handle at the same time. In my other message I had asked you how you handled the car seat situation with your little one. I have a 3,5 & 7 yo and I am not comfortable going w/o a seat for my 3 yo for the drive to the ship from the airport.

I hope your eye is better.

THanks again, the info was exactly what I needed.

Vicki

PS, My parents live in Goodyear, AZ

Best wishes.
