We had a great trip this past week! Monday and Tuesday were CRAZY busy...I don't know what was going on and I heard that Tuesday they closed due to capacity. This didn't affect us since we had hand stamps...this is why they stamp the hands I guess. They usually never check them but if they reach capacity and you have a stamp then I figure that you are in the capacity count so you are allowed back in. We always make use of early entry so numbers did not affect our fun at all. Loved the new Toy story ride...hate the new Mickey face on the "Fun Wheel" and the ommission of the mickey ears on screamin. At night yeah it looks great but in the day it is really tacky looking. We found that service in the restaurants is painfully slow and it is apparent that in some areas they are not staffed as well as before. Portions are not as huge either. We were planning to share many meals and did so due to budget constraints but many times the quantity was not what it use to be. We had great weather in spite of the fact that local newscasters called for rain each day...never a drop and it was sunny every day by late morning. Any questions???

I don't have any questions but thanks for reporting. We are going next week. Sounds like a good trip! :)

Oh, people think it was crowded because S. CA APs were blocked on Wed and they all wanted to see the new shows.

You mentioned that portions arr much smaller in some restaurants. Which ones did you notice this change? DId the crowds taper down after Tuesday then? Were they average or the usual summer crowds? Thanks and happy to hear that you had a great trip despite the crowds!

my question is did you take pics of the foods to post here :lmao::lmao::lmao: we need another fix.

We ate at Carnation Cafe and the pot pies are in a smaller crock. The chicken sandwich at Cafe Orleans was not really sharable. BTW do not say you want to share a plate they will charge you $4 for this. I saw no warning of this on the menu at Cafe Orleans. We mentioned that the chicken sandwich would be shared and they did not add extra fruit or anything and not even two plates so there was nothing different about the shared vs not shared portion or presentation. They just put down 1 plate with the regular sandwich on it and then tried to charge us $4 because 2 different hands would touch the meal (?). I complained about this and they removed the charge. If I had known ahead of time obviously we would not have told them we were going to share. If they want to charge this extra fee fine but say so in advance and don't just add it to the bill without warning. Plus the fact that we waited 45 minutes for our food didn't help. We had priority seating...sat quickly...ordered quickly and then seriously waited 45 minutes for our food to come. Others were complaining about this as well. Back to your ?? Disneydreamer...Jazz Kitchen Express also had portion and wait time problems. We waited 30 minutes for our food there...not express. The woman after us also waited as long, for just an order of fries. The crowds were fine on Wed and Thurs.
