What is this? Sounds nice!

Villa For One

Surrender to a relaxing foot cleansing before immersing yourself in a bubbling hot tub for a bathing ritual on your own private verandah. Enjoy a revitalizing spa treatment of your choice and top it all off with a traditional tea ceremony and a restful respite on a luxurious chaise lounge.

Alone Time

Enjoy a 50-minute spa treatment of your choice. Select from: La Thérapie HydraLift Facial, an Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Facial, an Elemis Deep Tissue Muscle Massage, a Swedish Massage, an Elemis Exotic Lime & Ginger Salt Glow with half-body massage or the Ionithermie Cellulite Reduction Program.

I copied this from the DCL site. I am still trying to decide what spa treatment to do. I already told by DH that I am claiming our Dinsey Visa rewards dollars for spa treatments.

Thanks for the info! I like the sound of the villa for one. I might have to spring for the spa this time since I am sure I will be alone most of the time.

I have heard really good things about Dolphinaris as well, if you really want to do the swim and she is old enough to do it there I would go with that.

i have been sending mari to swim classes at the ymca in part because we wanted to do the swim. we did the encounter in nassau at blue lagoon. so i think that we will be doing dolphinaris.

Too funny!! I am using our rewards points for my spa indulgence as well :goodvibes

Here is a detailed review that has really made me interested:

DCL Day 3...Alone Time!

I hustled back to the room, changed into my swimsuit and hurried to the spa. There I was handed a glass of cucumber infused water and asked to wait for my therapist. Within a few moments she was leading me back to a private suite. We walked through the suite which had two treatment tables (and was very lovely indeed). There were flowers and petals strewn about the room along with colored pieces of glass and stones placed in pleasing arrangements.

We walked through the suite and out on to a private veranda. If the suite was lovely, the veranda was STUNNINGLY AMAZING! There was a double bed, a whirlpool for two, an alfresco shower and then there was the view. Miles and miles of open ocean....

The first thing I did was sit down on the double bed (really a lounger, but the size of a double bed with comfy pillows). I was given a robe and told to get comfy. When the therapist came back, she directed me to the bed lounger. I was to sit on the edge and she would wash my feet for me. Ahhh, it was a very relaxing foot cleansing with a mini foot massage thrown in. :cloud9:

I was then asked to pick which treatment I would like to receive. I chose a facial and scalp massage. While she was getting that ready in the inner suite, I would be soaking in the whirlpool tub, watching the ocean and the sky. She gave me my choice of bath salts, added my chosen salts to the water, poured me a glass of lemon infused water and left the rest of the pitcher on the edge of the tub in case I wanted a refill during my soak. She then exited the verandah and told me she would be back in a half an hour. Soaking in hot water (not too hot though) while sipping cool infused water and watching the ocean waves dance by...I was totally blissed out.

Toasting myself and the beauty of my surroundings.

As I laid there, I was totally relaxed by the time she knocked and asked me to make my way inside. After wrapping up in the comfy robe, I headed back in and she left the room again so that I could slide down under the warmed sheets (the table was slightly heated) of the treatment table.

She then proceeded to give me a very relaxing facial followed by an even more relaxing neck, shoulder and scalp massage with frangapani scalp treatment. She was so good that I almost fell asleep while enjoying the treatments. Almost...I didn't want to miss the chance to soak up such a relaxed feeling by snoozing away the time. :cloud9:

I think that treatment lasted about an hour (I wasn't wearing my watch). Upon completion, she told me to step outside and rinse off under the outdoor shower and then lay down on the outdoor lounge bed. I did so and she gave me more than enough time to get the robe back on and settle down on to the lounger. She then rolled in a tea tray and served me the tea of my choice.

While the tea was steeping, she told me to lay back and relax and that she would be bringing me a fresh tray of fruit. Within a few minutes she brought the fresh fruit. There were skewers with pineapple, grapes, strawberries and melons. There were also some very delicious chocolate covered strawberries. Oh the joy! :lovestruc I was once again totally blissed out.:cloud9:

I had another forty five minutes of time to relax, zone out and just watch the waves and clouds roll by. As I was laying there, I must have fallen asleep and when I woke up, there was a very strong wind whipping across the front of the enclosed veranda (although the front was thrown totally open, the front sides were encased in glass). It got so strong that I got up and closed the sliding glass across the open front area as well. Even the approach of what seemed like a hurricane force storm (I knew it wasn't, but it sure sounded VERY loud and was starting to look VERY rough as far as the waves...although I didn't feel a change in the motion of the ship at all) I was still totally relaxed and watched the clouds go from puffy white to light gray to a deep shade of charcoal. She brought me back into the treatment room, asked me if I wanted to go over the products used (when I said I was not interested, she didn't push at all) and had me sign the receipt.

She then led me back to the locker room where I quickly showered using the good Elemis conditioner and shampoo again. I also stayed in the locker room blow drying my hair instead of heading back to our room to do it. I was still enjoying my me time and trying to draw it out as long as possible. :cutie: :cloud9:

When I finally emerged from the spa, I was feeling very happy and completely relaxed. Little did I know that my happiness and relaxed state of mind would come to an abrupt halt upon my return to our stateroom.

Why? Well...that's for the next installment.;) I don't want to taint such a beautiful spa experience by sharing my annoyance and upset in the same post. I will leave you with one hint. It was Disney that did the upsetting.

TO BE CONTINUED...

I know we will plan a DISmeet on the first day and some may be working on booking excursions at the same time. Is anyone interested in having Palo Tea as a group on Monday at 3pm? I know hubby would appreciate that I would not be dragging him :)

I would be interested...I figured I would skip Palo this time since I will be alone.

Would anyone who is staying at WDW Friday night before the cruise be interested in sharing a limo to the port?

I would be interested in doing this, too. I'm dying to try Palo, and was thinking about making tea or brunch reservations--even if I have to go alone! :)

I booked our airfare and first night and night of the cruise return hotels today. We arrive on Friday night and drive to Titusville. We want to use Saturday morning to get last minute stuff we need to carry on the ship and then get to the port early. We want to get on the ship as soon as possible this time to get into the vacation mood. Yah! :cool1: We are still working on excursions but we are leaniung towards booking the Key West trolley on our own to be able to use the on and off privileges. We may do the Dolphin swim in Cozumel, at least DD, DW and I may just come as observers and get pictures and video. On Grand Cayman we are thinking of doing the tour and then wandering around for some shopping. DW is thinking of doing the parasail on CC :scared1: . I am looking forward to the beer tasting and /or martini tasting :woohoo: . Until later!

We are also doing this- Jordan has been in the same class 3 times, and refuses to jump off the side of the pool- so she cannot move up. :confused3 We start another Ymca class on March 2nd, at least we are members now- so it's cheaper. LOL

That sounds like alot of fun- I'm definately interested. I don't think DH would want to do that either. I can barely convince hime to do Palo.:confused3

What time is everyone planning on getting to the port? I want to try to be there as soon as they open, we are staying at Radisson at the Port on Friday night, and I already made our shuttle arrangements for 10am.:goodvibes It would be cool if alot of us are there early and could hang out.

I defiantely think we are doing the trolley or conch train as well, on our own, because I also want to be able to get on/off as much as we want. I want to do the parasailing too, but DH and DD won't/can't. LOL

I think a meet on the first day would be great. I am hoping to get DD to meet some other folks her age as soon as possible. I am also not against a meet at Tea on Monday as we were also considering this, though I am looking for opinions from anyone who has done High Tea, I heard it may be an underwhelming Palo experience. I have also heard the pastries in Cove Cafe on Deck 9 are great, maybe this is a good spot for an adult meet (Palo would be adults only).

We did an adult Cove Cafe Dis-meet on the second sea day of our last cruise-it was very nice- it was an Eastern so it was on Monday. I have not been to the High Tea- only brunch, which DH did not care for- he just didn't want to dress up again. I loved it though- he only liked the food. ;)
