I see you're from upstate SC. We lived in Greenville and now outside of Charlotte. Hope to see you on the ship!
We are without air conditioning.... I noticed that it wasn't getting any cooler today so checked the thermostat and still 78
after a few hours of having it on 72 so I called DH Rob and he told me to turn it off completely until he got home.... So now we are on ceiling fan mode and all the lights off in the house
I feel that this is gonna be a not so little expense
Well I need to work up a sweat so maybe this is the way to go![]()
Hey! We live in Easley which as you probably know is about 10 miles west of Greenville towards Clemson. We love this area and couldn't imagine living anywhere other than the Carolinas. My brother-in-law and his family live outside Charlotte in Fort Mill. Nice to know we'll be sailing with "neighbors."![]()
I hate that. I had to call out the AC man a couple of weeks ago and thankfully it was something small. I had just replaced the outside unit in the fall (probably should have replaced both).
Now this weekend, I had to go and buy a new clothes dryer and not to mention some extra vet expenses for our cat.
I was having a self pity party about it all, but I got a call about a co-worker losing her 5 1/2 month old baby. So all of a sudden, my troubles were nothing in comparision.
Oh goodness, that would be terrible... don't no how lucky you are until you look around, that is what my Mom used to tell me.
How true.... After I got the news, I just wanted to hug my son and not let go.
I know Easley well. My sister went to Clemson. We live in Fort Mill - Baxter Village! It's a Small World after all.....!!!!
I survived 3 long nights at work. Had 2 very, very sick babies with tons of issues. My mom arrived today (my dad didn't get to come as he had a business trip). She'll be here until Friday!!!! I work all next weekend again, and most of the next 2 weeks before we leave. I've got to get packing! Tomorrow I have another Dentist appt and Thurs see the OBGYN about a hysterectomy. Fun, fun, fun. Hope everyone is well!
I'm not sure which neighborhood they are in but you can see the tops of the coasters at Carowinds from thier back yard. It's just off the main highway that runs in front of Carowinds. You're right...small world! Now I have that song stuck in my head!

Yes we are looking forward to this!!!! I had to book Flounder time for Layla since she is to young to go......The boys will be so excited!!! Are any of the small ones dressing up for this excursion as a pirate?
I have to brag on DS. He went over a friend's house and there were 5 boys from his 6th grade school that got together. All are in the school band. Two played bass guitar, 2 on electric guitar and Ben on drums. They performed Rock you like a Hurricane by Scorpion. It sounded really good! This is just with a few hours of practice! We built a band room above our detached garage where Ben practices. Its a cool hangout, and its all finished out, carpeted and has AC. And its nice, cause I hear very little in the house! I think we have the makings of a rock band!![]()
I love that song...wait am I showing my age. How do those boys know that one?![]()
