How ironic.

YoHo said:Traditionally, the Week before and the week of Christmas have always been some of the heaviest with Easter being possibly the worst.
dbm20th said:The people who write the unofficial guide. Len Testa is one person who does not need to justify his credentials.
dbm20th said:Not in Florida. Busier than the first 2 weeks, at least a bit busier, but no where near "one of the busiets times".

EUROPACL said:Great now where does he get his data? Now that his credentials don't need to be justified.
YoHo said:lol, maybe AV should post a website, then he can be just as accurate.

The irony concerns your comments (on several occasions) about axe grinding.dbm20th said:Why?
raidermatt said:It probably has a lot to do with the day of the week Christmas/New Year's fall on, and therefore what days schools are out.

dbm20th said:Please, I don't need to speak for Len Testa or Bob Sehlinger. I'm telling you the conclusions they have drawn from an amount of stats that is so overwhelming I couldn't pretend to understand it. Look it up.
YoHo said:Oh for the love of Pete. Are you kidding me? They're basing their crowd schedule on peak wait times as observed through the day? They're making no adjustment for fluctuating staffing and whether the attraction is 100% open and they're basing it on 3 main attractions in the park. What a load of crap.
They do have hours way back that week, but it's because of MVMCP.
YoHo said:They themselves say the stats come from 2004, 2005 and 2006. 3 years out of 35.

As I headed out of the park about 8:00, I noticed the standby line for Soarin' was 90 minutes, Test Track was 70 minutes. I had a late lunch at the Rose and Crown as part of the candlelight processi onal package. This my first time eating at this restaurant. I had the guiness beff stew and it was excellent!I talked with several people who were at the MK and they said it was crowded also. Lots of heavy fog in Central Florida today. There is no action at all going on over at the north wing this morning. No trucks or cars in the parking lot - maybe becasue its Sunday. I hope to have some of pics up tomorrow, especially of the north wing as many people are interested in these.
crazy4wdw said:I really can't answer your question as I flew down on this trip - only used Disney transportation. There was one incident when I was heading out of the resort on a bus when I noticed that the security guard was not letting a vehicle into the resort parking lot. The hotel was sold out from Wed. through Sunday (maybe longer) and there seemed to be plenty of parking spaces available. Remember that not everyone drives to WDW. Remember there is some parking by the south wing. If you go to Downtown Disney, drive your own car and avoid Disney transportation! It was at least a 40 minute ride from the CR to DD. I'll have some more pics up tomorrow.
dbm20th said:Oh my goodness, this is getting ridiculous. READ THE BOTTOM!! Do you honestly believe the difference between a 4 and a 10 is staffing??? Wouldn't they have MORE staff during CHristmas, not less??
YoHo said:Given what I know from talking to former executives, current cast members at WDW and observations I've made at both locations, YES I believe staffing can account for a lot of that.
dbm20th said:OK, so you know better? Are you serious? Folks, I'm presenting my opinion. Me experience agrees with these numbers, but I haven't even mentioned that.
