5th person in room?

We are a family of 4 and sometimes bring a friend of our daughter with us. What are the options we have , as the studio and 1 bedroom rooms say that the occupancy is for four when we need room for 5?

Dont worry I have a family of five and we stay in all the rooms.When we have a studio or 1 bedroom we have a areo bed or just use sleeping bags for the extra person.We have used the pillows from the couch to make a mattress.

I just don't find it helpful to teach children that rules are for others.

The papers I signed and agreed to adhere by mentioned four as the occupancy limit.

Disney won't do bed checks, for now, although the supervisor at MS told me that they had asked people to leave or obtain the proper size unit for their party.

You can get a two bedroom. They sleep up to 8.

As noted, Disney has placed an occupancy limit of four in Studio and 1BR villas. An additional child under the age of 3 is also allowed in the provided crib.

That said, the resort will not likely do a head count in any room. Extra beds and linens are not provided.

All 2BR villas will accommodate up to 8 (plus the child under 3).

Because this topic has always generated heated discussion, further discussion is encouraged on the Debate Board.

If none of your party of 5 is under 3, your best option is a two bedroom unit. As you probably know, DVC does not provide rollaways or bedding for more than the stated occupancy.

If you stay in a smaller unit, you will only have bedding and towels for 4. That means you will need to bring an aero bed/sleeping bag and the associated bedding as well as extra towels (or you could request and pay for an extra set of towels).

FWIW, I have not heard that DVC does "bed checks".
