5th Park at WDW

They wont really do ANYTHING new with StarWars until they release new StarWars movies with some "re-imagining".
well rumors are flying about Star Wars making a huge presence in Disneylands tomorrow land. Most people have that happening before WDW would get Star Wars.

HS needs work but I think Epcot needs it even more.

For me HS has 4 majors (Star Tours, TSMM, TOT, and RnRC) while Epcot only has 2 (TT and Soarin, MS being a possible 3rd). Epcot has World Showcase to fill the void but simply in terms of rides Epcot is severely lacking.

I'd be very surprised to see a 5th gate until AK, HS, and Epcot have all seen massive improvements that increase their visitor count.

I agree but Epcot still sees two million or so more than DHS and AK. They will do those parks first. Epcot I think is harder to fix being that it's more original than anything else disney has done. Epcot is something walt wanted and it's about the future and the world. They would need to create attractions using those two things. Almost everything in Epcot is original or unique to Epcot. DHS needs a large expansion I don't even count star tours as a major attraction because it normally has a 10 minute wait even has walk ons a lot. DHS and AK will get their fixes before Epcot.

I called up Miss Cleo and she told me the 5th Gate is going to open on October 1, 2025, its going to have all new original rides and attractions, and admission will be $129.95 for a one-day one-park pass.

Over the years, there have been many different ideas and possibilities and general plans regarding what the 5th park will be someday. It all part of a continuing process to be prepared develop to final plans when and if they decide to build. The latest as posted, would be what part Marvel and Stars Wars may or may not play in any final themes/plans.

With the raising attendance and additional resort rooms being added they will need a 5th park as some point and not to very far off. like in 10 years I would think.

But also as posted, Epcot and HS need TLC right now!

Eisner himself said that plans had been made for a 5th gate, and some loose ideas were tossed around for a 6th. At this point Epcot doesn't need help like the other two parks. The festivals and rides that are there already bring in plenty of guest for Epcot. To me Hollywood Studios needs the most work hands down. A redone Great Movie Ride, Star Wars Land, more Pixar stuff, ect.

An updated great movie ride would be good too, keep something's but add some newer movies. I would like them to announce it this year for DHS's 25th anniversary but it doesn't look like its going to happen. I think disney is trying to get things together for Disneyland's 60th anniversary next year.

I was at least expecting a refreshed Great Movie Ride with new paint ect. Sadly it looks like we are just going to get some pins and shirts.

DHS should be three or four lands: Star Wars Land, Marvel Land and Pixar Land and perhaps some more generic "Hollywood Land" encompassing other movies/shows that don't fit in the other three.

I think a "5th Park" is not economically feasible for WDW. But, I think we all know that all of the non-MK parks need immediate attention.

For sure Disney could economically make it feasible to open a 5th park but why would they? They can let the older parks deteriorate, not add anything new, and increase prices every month and the people still come in droves. It won't be until everyone wise's up and realize they are getting ripped off by the Mouse they will change things. Its all about minimal investment and maximum return for Bobby Iger and the gang and I can't really blame them for doing this. They get away with it with considerable ease.

The only remedy is to boycott the parks, I haven't been to Animal Kingdom, MGM studios, Epcot, Blizzard Beach, Typhoon Lagoon in 7 years. But I do travel to Disney 3 times a year and stay at OKW. Tons of others things to do in Florida that I get way more bang for my buck.

Hope the $129.95 part is true, by 2025 we will consider that a bargain! ;)

I don't think it impossible for a 5th gate. To be honest I believe they will have one within the next 25 to 35 years. I think they realize the other parks need work to become full day destinations. For example how they are making Animal Kingdom a full day park by adding new nighttime stuff. I think once the problem with the other parks are fixed then we will see a 5th gate be built.

I agree, I really do not feel like I get a full day out of either AK or HS so I think they need to vamp them up before adding more.

Add Muppet Land for the win.

Believe it or not, AK is seeing a larger attendance increase already than any other park in Orlando other than Islands of Adventure.

Universal will skyrocket this summer.

I thought SeaWorld had a huge attendance increase (percentage wise anyway).

I've heard that the new 5th Gate is going to be called Music City. It will have a giant guitar shaped lake.

When you enter the gate, you'll walk up the sides of the guitar neck (with crossover frets). Each side of the neck will be lined with shops and food stands. Around the guitar body of the lake will be different sections representing styles of music.

The styles planned so far (which could change) are Bluegrass, Disco, Bagpipe, Skrillix, Opera, and Elementary School Choir. Each section will have it's own attraction/ride. For example, Opera's attraction is called "Fat Lady Sings." You spend twenty minutes filing into a HUGE theater. An audio-animatronic full figured woman in a viking helmet rises out of the stage, sings a note and shatters a wine glass. Then you spend 15 minutes exiting out of the theater and the attraction is over.

The hole in the guitar will be an island in the center of the lake where a 4th rate cover band will perform nightly with sparklers and firecrackers in the background.

I could be wrong because I also heard that Disney is buying the rights to South Park and has plans for Mickey's South Park which will actually be located on the other side if I-4. This is where the Disney Guests can enjoy, and participate in, the family-friendly wacky antics of four 4th graders.

How long was the bus ride that the driver went into such detail.

I didn't get this from a bus driver... I got this from my cousin's neighbor's daughter who had a friend that was a CM 10 years ago!
