I am not having a cook out today and have go work at 4:00 p.m.

I be working at the baseball park feeding 6, 500 people food.


I can't complaint because I been having fun all weekend.

SO and I are doing nothing special. He has been at work today from 8am-5pm, but fortunately it is time and a half. Then he is working tomorrow from 5am-2:30pm, so it will be early to bed for him tonight. It is ok though because he has Tues, Wed, and Thurs off from work, and when he gets out of work Monday afternoon we are driving down south to see some of his family for a few days relaxation at the pool and beach!

<font color=navy>My dd is spending the day with her friend at Disneyland, and will watch the fireworks from there.

My ds is off w/his girlfriend & her family to go see a movie, and then to a soccer game at theHome Depot Center, then they'll watch fireworks while there.

I live just down the street from the Home Depot Center, and if tonight is anything like last year, I'll be able to watch some great fireworks from here at home.

No fun going on here either. I went to get food for the grill tonight while DH is finishing the stairs to our upstairs addition and then we can move up

Not us either. We went to a big cookout/party yesterday for my nieces birthday(Tues). Today is like any other Sunday around here. In fact when running errands this morning I mentioned to DH that I totally forgot it was the 4th of July. Now the best part is DH has tomorrow off and we can get some stuff done around the house and get ready for our trip in 2 weeks.

It's a gorgeous day here but just like any other weekend so far. I did some patio gardening this afternoon. I'll go for a walk later and maybe grill kebobs for dinner. Tonight the neighboring Town is having fireworks and I might go to see those or at least watch the Pops concert on TV. Tomorrow I'll cut the lawn.

I hate fighting the July traffic around here. Besides, I saw plenty of terrific fireworks in May at WDW.

We're hanging out at home today. We watched a ball game and we'll be cooking out for dinner. Just the two of us. That's about it.

I was not up to a bar b que and canceled it last night....my DD is a little upset with me, but, she will get over it. I had invited her and DH and GB, but, just not feeling it this year, plus it rained off and on and now the sun is out and its HOTTER!

Waaaa!!! My church was having a BIG cookout/fun day for the kids and members but the sky OPENED UP at 4 and it was at 5!!! Waaaaaa!!

Michael is so bored he went for a walk in the rain.... poor baby!

Every year before now we spent BBQing at my my parents' house. Holidays are so lonely now.... ... I never look forward to them anymore.

I'm not doing anything today either. DH is in new home sales and they had to work. What is cool is that a city that is adjacent to here (we live in the DFW metroplex) is having fireworks. Last night I was able to sit in my new formal living room (we just moved 3 months ago) and I was able to see the fireworks from the lake. Way cool. They are doing it agian tonight, so that's al for us for the 4th.

This morning I took DD to a carnival and she had a blast. We got home around 1 and that was it for the day. We are having gorgeous weather though...seems a shame that I decided to stay in, but had to...paperwork, paperwork.

We're just sitting here with the dog! I did put together a new grill this morning and we grilled steaks. We finished just in time for the regular afternoon thunderstorm. Later, DD and I are going to watch "Harvey" and then sit outside (with the dog) to watch "Wishes". The dog is fine as long as he can be with us.

All alone this Independence Day. My kids are at their dad's and my parents are in the middle of a month long vacation and are in Alaska right now.

Nothing happening here.......going to watch the ballgame in a little bit and later I'll go out and see what I can see from my deck.
Sometimes quiet is nice too!
