I had a thread a while back about being worried because I am a pooh sized gal (5'7" 300lbs).
I cannot for the life of me find that thread again and there were some good suggestions on there..

So basically what suggestions can you give from personal experience to make my stay happier.

I am on a diet and have lost 53lbs in the last 10months and I plan to keep going with the weight loss. I guess I am just a bit nervous about all the things Non pooh sized people don't even have to consider.....

Even if i lose a ton more weight my mum is coming too and she is pooh sized too, so I can pas on your wealth of knowledge to her. (she will be in a ECV as she has mobility issues)

trust me,you will have NO issues AT ALL,at WDW.you will be able to ride,all of the rides,with no problems.
you may encounter some problems,at universal,busch gardens & seaworld.mainly with the rides with overhead harnesses.
on allears,there is a WDW at large section,where people post about their experiences,riding certain rides.i don't know how to post links or if we are allowed to,but maybe someone can point you,in the right direction.
please don't worry & have fun

Hiya!

As another 'Pooh sized' individual I can say you'll be pretty much fine at WDW.

The only problems I can think of were on Space Mountain, but that's more because I have unrelated mobility issues and getting into the rider car was pretty much impossible for me and Virtual Space Mountain at DisneyQuest where the bar wouldn't come down properly because of my thighs.

I would imagine Sum of all Thrills would also be an issue but other than that I'd just go for it!

I've started riding coasters recently and had no problems with BTMR, Everest, RnRc, ToT, etc. and you're fine with the dark rides. :)

If you go to some of the other parks however it might be worth checking before riding certain rides. the old Jimmy Neutron ride was a real squeeze for me (maybe better now it's been upgraded to the Despicable Me ride) and Forbidden Journey was hit or miss depending on whether the CM (or TM as it is at Uni) was strong enough to force the bar down that last notch.

Universal does have restrictions and you may struggle. There are test seats outside for you to try to avoid waiting in line unnecessarily. Some of the rides there have modified seats which could work in your favour.

Thank you all for your help and reassurance. Like I said I plan to lose more weight nefore I go and hope to lose another 4 stone. Wish me luck. lol

Thank you all :worship::lovestruc
