51 minute layover

If you are on a regional jet coming in and needing to get to B or C, it will be VERY tough to do. I have been on regional jets into ORD several times and it looks like we are coming in only to be diverted over Lake Michigan and adding 30 more minutes onto the flight as we got into the pattern.

Is it possible, sure is. Would I do it, no, not for a gain of a few hours.

I had an option for a 46 min layover but ended up choosing a direct flight so I could still get there early in the morning (9:30am). It was more expensive but worth it for peace of mind.

Extremely unlikely at 6:45am in the morning per the OP flight.

That's before factoring in O'Hare now has 5 soon to be 6 parallel runways, allowing for quadruple simultaneous approaches and dual departures at once. Basically there's not much holding being done at O'hare these days.

I went ahead and booked with Delta through Atlanta which gives me a little more breathing room.

Thanks everyone for sharing. You provided good points to consider.
