50th's affect on DVC plans

just curious how the 50th is affecting vacation plans...

Same here - normal annual trip in early December.

But when I found out about it and looked into the plans that they have, I entered the "Happiest Passholder on Earth" Contest.

AND I'M GOING TO WIN!!! (The power of positive thinking!!)

Besides, I am the happiest passholder on earth, I don't have to win a contest to know that!

How about the option of going to WDW and DL on Points?

That is our plan.

The Members Cruise was touted as being because of Disneyland's 50th, so we're celebrating using points that way as well!

No changes for us. We will be there many times this year as usual.

I am doing both
going to DisneyLand on Cash in late June
AND using my points at WDW in mid May.

I might find that this is too much Disney too close.
I will have to see.
Both trips are short (both are 3 days and 4 nights).
We might even decide to do something besides DL for one of the days in California.

We'll be at WDW on points for our 25th Anniversary (May 2) - the 50th Celebration will be nice, but not why we're there....

We are using our DVC points for Vero Beach May 3rd to the 6th.

We will be paying cash for PORS with a code since this is an extra trip and points are low! We will be there April 29th to May 3rd.

Doesn't affect my plans at all. I'll be staying @ WDW on points in December but will be also be going to DLR several times (see my location).

We are going for or first trip on points in July, 50th is great, but we'd be going anyway!

I checked off going to DL and paying cash - BUT

we are also doing the Magic Cruise before our stay in DL and that was using a combination of points and cash.

No impact on our trip. We decided 3 years ago that we would be at WDW for vacation this year and staying DVC for the first time. Hooray!!

We are going 3 times during the 16 month celebration. This Aug on points, in Dec as a treat from my mom and again next July-Aug on points. Should be fun!!!!

The 50th affected our plans two ways:

1. We paid cash for a May repositioning cruise.
2. We used points for DL in the Fall (beat best rate I could get on internet for same accommodations).

We are going to WDW in June using points.

We are doing the DVC Member Cruise in September using points.

We are going to Disneyland in December using cash.

Just went to DL Monday night, and I'll be going at least once a month this year. April and next Jan. for WDW.
