Well my choices for advance dining reservations are somewhat limited since I booked so close to my departure date. I currently have a ressie at 50's primetime the first night I am there. I just wondered how the experience was for a single traveler? Never have tried this restaurant but always thought it looked fun.

Not sure for the solo traveler. Have eaten in restaurant with family and loved it but when I go myself I eat at bar. No they won't yell at you but a lot of fun just the same. Great bar staff that will be more than willing to talk to you.

Either way enjoy!!

This is one of my favorite places to eat, i've gone about 3 times by myself the first time I sat a table for 1 and my waitress was very friendly. The next 2 times i sat at the bar and had a great experience. This place is one of the best places to dine at the world.:cool1::thumbsup2

Have seen you post on the boards before but nver responded but went to HS in Lake Charles and my son is a fireman in NO. Something in common I guess. We might even know the same people...lol

I agree...John Stamos could even get me to eat at a large turkey leg while riding Its a small world.....even though I can't stand either of those things.:rotfl2:

I graduated in '06 from Barbe high, since then I've been in the fire service for about 5yrs now. I was born and raised in LC and I don't see myself leaving for another 25yrs(when I can retire) after that I'm moving to WDW and joining the Reedy Creek Fire Dept until I decide to really retire.
The name is Jonathan, btw, Jonathan Logue. Does it ring any bells?

I've eaten there once as a solo, and I have ADRs to eat there twice on my next trip. Does that tell you how much I enjoyed it? I was seated at a table as a solo, but I was right next to a table with a family of grandparents, parents, and 2 overtired little boys. They were such fun neighbors-well, the little boys weren't fun, but the poor little boys-as I said to the parents, "been there done that!" I ordered a drink with the blinking ice cube that I gave to the parents to help. The grandmother sang the theme song to "Car 54, where are you?" with me. The server was friendly, but no antics until I said, "Tell Grandma that I love her chicken pot pie", then he loosened up a little. I think the server lets the solo take the lead on how much they want to "get into it".

Ditto what others have said - the bar is great to eat at, but for the "full" experience, it seems to be more fun and there is more interaction usually with a bigger group...
