The kids want to eat lunch here. I just can't eat a big meal when I'm out walking around all day, especially when it is hot. Usually I just snack. Would they let me eat off the kids menu? I hate to pay for a adult meal when I'm not going to eat most of it. We're not on the dining plan. Thanks

Sure you could. Or you could just order a couple of appetizers instead of an entree.

You could also share a meal with one of your kids, or order a couple meals and all share them family style. We always share meals there so we have room for dessert.

My DD17 and I are sharing their delicious fried chicken for lunch in about two weeks. That way we get the entertaining experience, delicious food, and no upset stomachs.

I told the server that I wanted the chicken but it was way too much, she suggested that I get the kid's meal size. I got green beans on the side, but next time I'll get some mashed potatoes too. It was enough for me. I don't like eating a whole lot either. My friend and I share often on a trip, but she wasn't with me that time and my sister/brother in law and niece were ordering something else. :( In the end it turned out perfectly for me!

Looking at my picture, I got a carrot too. LOL It was under $10, I think I gave $10 tip included.

Enjoy your meal! I love it there, and I really, really, really love the fried chicken. It's the only meal I've ever gotten there.

We ate there in June, DH had the chicken noodle soup, it was delicious and on the appetizer menu. You can order off the kid's menu. The fried chicken is really, really, really delicious, my 14 yr old ate everything on his plate, it was half a chicken!! DH and I were completely shocked, that kid has NEVER eaten that much, he is tall and rail thin. The pot roast is delicious also. My kids love the milkshakes with their meals there.

Ask for Cousin Tara, she was an amazing waitress!

Twice I've shared the adult fried chicken, and both times (once with DD and once with a friend), they brought it out as two plates, and we each got the sides! It was plenty (especially in August heat!). No extra charge (but good tip!). PS: We both like dark meat, so once they brought out the breast and I mentioned it, and they whisked it away for a thigh! I do like to eat light, but love me a thigh!

I enjoy their fried chicken and pot roast but I think their menu is very limited. For lunch I would like something lighter, but all they have is a ceasar with chicken or salmon. They also need better/ more appetizers! A sandwich or burger would be nice, I can't do a milk shake with pot roast, it's just odd to me! It's more of a dinner place, can't ride or comfortably walk around with a belly full!

oooh! You were lucky. They didn't do that for us. We got two plates and had to divvy it up ourselves.

I started going there years ago when they still had the separate lunch menu that included sandwiches. I miss that! So now I get Cousin Amy's wedge salad and Aunt Liz's fried chicken every time. Yum!!
