My DS decided tonight that he wants to go to 50's Prime Time for lunch instead of Sci Fi. I was able to get the ADR I wanted 3 weeks out :thumbsup2

Any reviews on this retaurant would be helpful.

Thanks.

Prime Time is really fun and the food is not bad. It's basically comfort food. Homestyle stuff. Meatloaf is pretty good.

Make sure to save room for dessert. Really good dessert menu.

We love Prime Time! One of our favorite restaurants. It's hit or miss on whether your server is interactive with their tables. We've had good ones and not so good ones. But it's still fun watching the other tables and servers.

One time we were seated in a room towards the back with a couple of other tables. Our "cousin" server was excellent. He interacted well with us all night and made sure the adults ate their veggies (or he spoon fed them to you if you didn't). Several of us had to hide (or secretly dispose of) our veggies before he returned. The tables in our section all traded places with each other so we had different parents with each others kids. The look on his face when he returned was priceless....even the little one's played along with their new families. All quietly finishing our meals. We all laughed so much during our entire dinner, the other diners kept polking their heads in to see what was going on in our section.

We put this restaurant at the top of our list each time. You won't be disappointed! :)

Awesome restaurant, its a lot of fun.

If you have a not so interactive server, just make them interact. My mom and I went once and our server wasnt so much fun. So we started to have fun.

For example the server was supposed to be my moms "sister", so my mom asked what did you get "mom" for her birthday. After a few jokes the servers loosen up and try to have fun seeing that you are interested too.

We love Primetime!! The food is good and with ample portions. And it is a lot of fun, especially if you go in with the right frame of mind. Be prepared to play along. But don't let that intimidate you. My sister is as shy as can be, but even she loosened up when we ate there the first time.

I can't wait for September and my dinner there. It's become tradition.

Prime Time is our favorite MGM restaurant. We have a blast each time we go. We usually get the fried chicken, pot roast, or meatloaf. Some of the servers can be low key so ask if you want this.

We too love PTC. Our 1st couple of times there in 99 and 00 were just OK. Then we waited a couple trips before going back. Since that time, it has become a family fav. The food has been consistently good. The servers are hit and miss but usually attentive, and dont seem to mind if you flag them down for refills, etc. We have had the fried chicken, pot roast, turkey sandwich, stuffed pepper, salmon and meatloaf. All were very good. Yes they are comfort foods, but the way they cook them isnt comfort. Very tasty IMO. Be sure to save room for a PB&J milkshake!! MMMMMMMMM

Food???? They have food at prime time?????? I dont remember, we were having too much fun!!!!!!!! :rotfl2:
Only foolin.......... The food is great and it is so much fun!!
Enjoy!

50's PT is my favorite Disney restaurant. Both the food and atmosphere are superb. Your son will love it. :thumbsup2

We went this past December and we both had the fried chicken which was fantastic (they gave us 2 huge chicken breasts each...way more than I could eat), mashed potatoes were great and the string beans were so fresh and crisp. Make sure you get the smores desert and the cocktails were so refreshing!

Thank you for the review too.
We have been to WDW before, and have always avoided 50's PTC.

Since H&V has turned into a kindergarten breakfast - we are doing an early lunch (11 am) on 6/28 ;)

We are looking foward to the fun :cool1:

We love the 50's PT but it was closed when we were at WDW last January, so we ended up eating at the Sci Fi. We were surprised because previous meals at the SciFi were truly aweful, but this time it was very good and we had a really fun waitress. Still though, I missed the 50's PT and when we go back it will be our first stop. JMHO Jay

I kinda hate to write this since all you've gotten our positive reviews, but we did not enjoy our experience at 50's PT. Our server was so grumpy, and basically we felt like she didn't want to be there. Maybe that is how she was playing the "mother" part?..I don't know! The food was definitely fair- my appetizer and milkshake were pretty good...but that was about it. I guess maybe it just depends on your taste, but I would definitely not go back there again. I'm not a person who usually thinks anything negative about a place like Walt Disney World, but this was not a fun experience for our family...but you're still at WDW so I guess you can't complain too much! :mickeyjum

Thank you all for your reviews. :thumbsup2

I cant wait to try it in only 24 more days. :cool1:

Disneyfans4ever, hopefully you just went on an off day. :confused3
