Which is the better choice ? We have eaten at 50's Prime Time and like it except it was very busy at the time. Should we try Hollywood and Vine ? I know Hollywood and Vine does not have characters in the evening. Which has the best food ? Thanks for any information:)

We didn't care for the food at H&V, but we've never had a bad meal at 50's.

I should say, though, that I am not a fan of most buffets for lunch/dinner meals. I really only like them for breakfast.

We went to H&V when we were there in August 2007 with free dining - worst meal we had !

We've also eaten @ 50's PrimeTime cafe and really enjoyed the meal and the atmosphere.

We've eaten at Hollywood and Vine several times (mainly when that was all we could get for the Fantasmic pkg). We have never had a good meal there. 50's Prime Time is always good and I'd go there just for their peanut butter/jelly shake.:rotfl:

I would say that the 50's Prime Time Cafe has better food, and a better atmosphere, even though it's normally busy. If you want a great meal, then eat at the Brown Derby. Always, always, super delicious!! And much quieter.

Do you have to dress up for the Brown Derby? Is it one credit on the dining plan? There was a reservation available for it to.

Technically yes, but as long as you don't wear jeans or cutoffs, you should be fine. I was there in capri pants and a nice casual shirt last time for lunch (my hubby was in a golf shirt and shorts). It will cost you 2 table services meals now. Totally worth it in my opinion!

H&V is a must miss. Last two times there, food was awful, place was dirty and service was non-existent. Stacked dirty dishes and glasses on the table was real appetizing.

Made first trip to 50sPT on last trip. Food was good but service was also bad. "Cousin (I forget what his name was)" was not in the character we expected. The waitress at the next table was. Couldn't get drink refills, but we would probably go back and give it another try.

WE have had good food at both. They are so different. We had great service at H&V and the buffet was good. The ice cream bar was really good but this has been a few years ago. Prime Time is a lot of fun.

I think I will go with 50's Prime Time. It was good food when we went and our waiter was alot of fun ! Just thought we might try HV but from what everyone has said 50"s PT is better. Thanks all:thumbsup2
