I just made my ADRS for upcoming trip and finally took the plunge and made one at DHS.

How is the 50's Prime Time Cafe? Any reviews will be appreciated!

This is one of our favorite places to eat at WDW. The food is good but we LOVE the interaction with CMs, we had Uncle Tim. Our kids loved it when my SIL got put in the corner for having her elbows on the table for the third time. We are eating there again in Nov for dinner, we wouldn't miss it. Have fun.

We love it there. I still have the essay, on my 50's napkin, that I had to write telling why one does not put their elbows on the dinner table. That Cousin Chris was a hoot and a half.
We try to eat there every time we go to WDW. The food is complete comfort food. And the service is always good.

We love it here. :worship: It's a must do everytime. Be prepared to have a great time.:thumbsup2

I hate to be the party pooper, but we went last summer and will not be going back! The service was fine, the wait was long (even with ADRs), and the food was awful!!! Nothing we got was worth eating so we stopped and got something else when we left there. That was the worst meal we've ever had at WDW and we go very often. (Going for the 5th time this year next Saturday)

When I was at Prime Time Cafe, I had the smores dessert. I LOVED it. I have a picture of it in my scrapbook and whenever I see it I want to go back.

I don't remember my meal being as memorable (perhaps because it was a Caesar salad...boring thing to order)

The atmosphere is very fun. I enjoyed it. My concern is that my husband doesn't like to be "bothered" at a restaurant. I think our server could sense it because he didn't mess with him too much.

We really enjoyed our visit to the 50's Cafe. We had heard that you had to get the roast beef and it was good. It wasn't over the top, but 50's is good home cooking food. My dd got the fried chicken and it was good too. The atmosphere and the fun stuff the servers do is what makes this place so great. My dd's loved their daddy getting into trouble for putting his elbows on the table and we loved them getting in trouble for tattle telling. My oldest dd had read some of the stuff on the dis, so she was begging us to eat all of her spinach so she could have dessert. Some friends of ours went another night and the dh in that family hates vegetables. So, when he didn't eat his spinach they brought it back out as his dessert with whipped cream and a cherry on top. His kids found that to be too funny! Of course he did get his real dessert. I am so glad we went here at least once, it was a lot of fun!

We always like it here. The food is good, the fried chicken plate is awesome and you can get all white meat. Save room for the smores

When I start asking the family where we should eat next time, ,the kids always ask for this--even the "cool" 16 year old. In March we had a server named Lookili who became my son's best friend as he empathized with him over having older sisters and made my 13 year old bus the table and put her nose against the wall for being bossy. The server can really make it or break it here. He was the best we've had in several trips.
I always get the fried chicken. My oldest got the meatloaf this last time. And the shakes and s'mores are wonderful.

We just ate at Prime Time last week. Got onion rings, shakes, fried chicken and pot roast. All was very good. We always enjoy this restaurant and it is reasonably priced if you are not on DDP.

This is one of my favorite places to eat at WDW. Great atmosphere, fun times with the servers, and delicious food. I've tried the fried chicken, meatloaf, pot roast, and salmon. All have been good, but my favorite is the fried chicken.

Love the s'mores for dessert! And I stopped in one time, sat at the bar, and ordered their peanut butter & jelly milkshake. It had been raved about on these boards, so of course I had to try it! It was pretty rich, but really good. :thumbsup2

We're big fans of 50s Prime Time. The food is okay, neither spectacular nor horrible, but the smores dessert is to die for. It's hit or miss with the servers...we like a lot of interaction and have had some memorable experiences. We have a photo of me wearing my Big Snitch hat that they made out of paper to punish me for telling on hubby, and on another occasion hubby was made to sing "Yellow Submarine" to a group of British toursts at a nearby table (they ended up joining in with him).

I think the 50's prime time cafe is my ALL TIME FAVORITE meal in WDW EVER!
it was the most fun I've ever had at a dinner anywhere. I have memories of being there that I will remember for the rest of my life:rotfl:

First time was great, second time, food was good as was CM but wait was HORRENDOUS..well over an hour. Last time, service was disgusting. I can't believe it was Disney World. I'm sure it is not like that all the time, but it left a bad taste in my mouth for the restaurant. Again, we had an ADR or party o 7. Waited an hour. Two decided not to come and when it was our time to be seated, they wouldn't seat us at our table because there were only five instead of 7. Waited even longer and finally got seated at insistance.

Anyway...it's a fun place to eat, just long waits and make sure you don't change your party size; and pray the cranky old CM that was there two Christmas' ago is no longer there. :)

It's my favorite WDW restaurant. The food is just so refreshing after eating numerous burgers and chicken fingers. I scarfed it down, you would have thought I hadn't eaten all week. The s'more dessert is to die for too. The decor is cute - my mother and grandmother had a good time looking at all the things and saying "we had that in our kitchen, and that.. oh and we had that too."

LOTS of fun and the food is pretty good too. Good variety of choices- I had a good pasta dish there. GREAT shakes and desserts as well (save room). Atmosphere is truly Disney, plus you'll feel like you're back in your Mom or Grandma's formica dream kitchen.

The Prime Time is always a Blast... a must do and the food is pretty good. Luv, the fried chicken! :thumbsup2

I'm so glad to see these positive remarks. I made ressies here for the first time this year and wasn't really sure about my decision.:confused3 DD loves fried chicken so that's a go and I'll have to look at the Smores dessert. Has anyone had experience with "sharing" here? We're going for lunch and we'll either share a dish or pay for kids' meals OOP.
