50pt CCV direct for new members?

I've read conflicting things about being able to buy in direct at 50pts for new members. Does anyone know if new members can do it for CCV? Or is 100pts really the minimum? Thanks!

Last I was told (2 days ago) was 75 point minimum for 1st time purchasers, 50 point minimum for existing members.

Thanks for the info--is that 50 point min for existing owners only for CCV or is that a change for all resorts?

Normally existing owners can do a 25 point add on. I glanced at dvcnews.com and it is showing 50 point minimum add on for this resort.

This is logical, as the 25 point minimum makes the most sense for an owner looking to add on to a property they already own. Since we're still early in the CCV game, a 50 point minimum for existing non-CCV members encourages CCV use, as opposed to someone buying them for 7-month use.
