I'm getting a lot of these messages when I click on certain threads this morning.

503 Service Unavailable

The server is temporarily busy, try again later!

I get those messages all the time - for the last few months, especially in the evenings.

I found that switching to a different browser sometimes works.

I use Safari most of the time but sometimes switch to Opera (which helps sometimes) or Firefox (which doesn't have that problem MOST of the time, but it's slower to load the pages).

I think the DIS needs more bandwidth.

I get this message quite often on this board. Normally if I hit the refresh button I'll be taken to whatever thread I was hoping to view.

I think there are just too many disney lovers on here for the server :goodvibes

I get this too.

I think the DIS might need a bit of a spring clean, or some extra memory.

We all talk too much!!

Maybe it is because I am constantly lurking and refresh a lot at work, but this has become very noticeable to me over the past 1-2 months. Server times have been very slow and even unresponsive for up to 10 minutes at a time.

I have been getting that too, especially at around 9am UK time. It took me 45 minutes be be able to get on here this morning.

::yes:: same time as me!

I also find the site is often super slow compared to any others I try to load. (Which t be hoenst isn't many!)

I find that if I get a number of 503 errors that logging out helps. It clears the cookies and seems to stop the problem.

I've had this problem on and off. I went and read all the replies on the tech board and found that one thing that works for me (whenever this starts happening) is just to restart the computer. Then I get about another week until they start popping up again. Sounds like this works for at least a percentage of the folks so maybe try it (I'm just using IE).
