We are booked for #5020 Stateroom May 2003
390 days left and counting everyone!!
Just wondering from all past cruisers, how is the room set up. I want to have the queen bed seperated. Is the bed by the port hole or in the middle of the room like verandah rooms. Will they be able to seperate the bed without cramping the room?

We are booked in this room may 12 2002, I'll try to remember
to email you with pics and details 43 days and counting

I had this room 9/2001. Great room. Bed is in middle of room. No idea bout separating bed! The only down fall to this room is you are across hall from where luggage and room cleaning person comes in and out. The door makes too much room. I am cruising on 5/25/02 and I have booked a category 5 on deck 7. The price for this room 5020 is great. I would book it again.

The bed will be made up as a queen unless you request to have it seperated into two twin beds. Your stateroom host can take care of this for you.

bbethparsons I am unsure of what you mean by the door makes too much room. The door to the luggage and cleaning, are you saying it gets in the way. Is this a big hassle, I am sure they would close it if you were trying to get in and out of your room, right?
I was just curious! I really am not bothered by the little stuff its just nice to know ahead of time. As long as we go in with a positive attitude, the vacation will be great:D
raisin64, have a great trip, that was suppose to be our sail date, but it had to be put on hold for a year. If you remember take some pics, I am sure Barb and Dave could use them on their site also, because this seems to be a popualar(spelling) room. We will send the sun gods your way, safe and happy sailing!!!!
Dave, thanks, and let me personally thank you for all your great info

No, I'm not saying the door gets in the way. It just makes a lot of noise when it closes. It is used frequently and at times it bothered me. If I had my preference I would get a regular category 9 ( I believe that is right for category #). I know it is more; however, I had a regular oceanview (Catetory 9 vs. category 10 with secret porthole) room the year before and liked it much more. The view from room 5020 supposingly the best secret porthole room with least obscured view. But you know this is just my opinion.....Hey, but if you are on a cruise, you are bound to have a great time and a little noise is nothing.
