i have been looking for a place for christmas week and new years week for 2007.bee looking at house and there would be only 4 of us and ever house i have looked at has been over $1000 a week.well my sister in law can get me condos for $130 a week but im going to give her $500 because she is paying to bank them and exchange them and maintaince dues.what i was wondering is is this a good price or should i keep looking for a better deal?i dont want to stay in a motel room because i like the room of a condo/house.dont want to be on top of each other.the first condo she has is summer bay resort any info to ask for this place or a good condo to ask for.thanks :confused3 :confused3

this new year eve - you might be a little late.

good condo in the area with RCI - Hilton VacationClub (HGVC), Sheraton, Cypress Pointe, a few of the Marriott

it is for next year.but i have been hreading bad things about summer bay.im going to try and see if she can get me some where else.cypress somebody i talked to said that is a real nice place to stay.so i hope she can cancle through rci.does anybody nough if you have that place on hold can you back out or do you have to stay there?

you can back out - but it will cost her - and her unit may lose trading power. (that is why you buy insurance).

since you are paying more anyway - I don't think she will have any problems.

Some other nice ones to check out are Orange Lake Resort, Silver Lake Resort, Marriott's Grande Vista, Cypress Harbor, and Horizons. There is also the new Bonnet Creek Resort, but not sure if you would have a problem exchanging into it.

All the resorts mentioned here and in Spiceycats post you can check out reviews for on www.tripadvisor.com. I would also do a google search for each so you can see them for yourself. Marriott's resorts can be seen at www.vacationclub.com and Sheratons Vistana and Vistana Villages can be seen at www.starwood.com.

Hope this helps you.
