(500) Days of Summer

Just watched this movie with my DD's...thought I would just think it was okay, just wanted to spend time with my teenage DD's...well i ended up totally loving it Anyone else like/love this movie? I just posted this on the Budget Board too by mistake so I threw in how I want to find a bargain on the DVD

DH and I saw it in the theatre and we both loved it. I really like that girl (from Elf!) and the guy was GREAT! That dance number was hilarious!

Loved the dance number too...the guy was the host of SNL and opened with a dance number there too, he can dance. I don't know how the rest of SNL was, fell asleep Thought his friends were very funny too.

I really like this movie. And I'm not big on romantic comedies. I thought the story was original, and very well put together. So much so that I bought the blu-ray.

It was good and very well done and well acted, etc. But we won't be buying it or watching it again any time soon. A smart film. Not a happy ending type love story and more realistic than any other romantic comedy type film out there now, which is nice. But also because of those same facts it doesn't make for a good "entertain me so I can forget life for a couple of hours" type movie. Ergo no blu-ray for us. But I still give it at least 4 or 4.5 stars. Hope that makes sense. Don't want to downplay the movie at all or discourage anyone from seeing it - quite the opposite.

I totally get what you're saying...but I am hopeful that in the end things work out for him
