Boost Mobile is rolling-out a $50 a month prepaid plan that gives users everything (talk, long distance, text, web, and walkie-taklie) for $50 a month!

For those who don't know, Boost Mobile is the prepaid arm of Sprint using Nextel's iDEN (Walkie-Talkie) technology. Refill cards are readily-available at reatilers, everywhere.

With this announcement (and the current state of the economy), going prepaid might be more appealing to a greater number of people...

Sorry, should have been clearer in what I use.....I connect my cell phone to my laptop and have Internet....kinda like a modem. THe "web" they are referring to is the ability to surf the web....but unless it's better than what Nextel offers now, it's not capable of what I need.

I did go check it out and it's in VERY limited zip codes. Which is rather odd when you consider that it claims to have no long distance or roaming charges, so what difference would it make what zip code I lived in?

But...it's definitely one of those websites I've calendared to look at again in a couple months to see if they've survived, lol...and improved.
