I have the option of visiting for a short 5 night trip from the UK. I have some very old tickets from 2000 which Disney have confirmed have 2 theme parks days and 10 Fun options. I would have time for 4 full park days and a half day.
I have asked if it’s possible to exchange/pay to change the ticket to a 4 park day ticket.
Would you do this trip?
This would be a low priced trip as the return flight would be £150.00 as I have British Airways points.

I'd do it without hesitation. It's short and not ideal with a long flight but any time spent at Disney is worth it! You'd just have to make sure you prioritise what you want to do - they won't be much time to relax. But then why would you want to when there's so much to do?

It's unlikely you'll be able to upgrade/add-on to partially-used older tickets. The remaining entitlements (2 theme park entries and 10 plus options) will remain valid as-is without expiring. Your options are to purchase a separate ticket for the additional days, but a new ticket that covers all your days, or only use the older ticket and do non-park stuff on the other days.

Are you saying your only expense would be the £150 plus any extra for tickets? If so I'd take advantage of that.

I was all for booking the flight this afternoon. The latest update from Disney is that I have the days remaining and to add them to My Disney Experience I need to know when and where the tickets were last used, however I do not have a clue what could have been the last park to visit in 2000!
If I am not able to verify I can speak to Guest Relations in the parks or DS for further assistance. They do recommend to continue using the ticket until all the days are used.
Do I go ahead and book the flight and hotel with the expectation that I will be ok to use the remaining days.

Disney have confirmed this afternoon that I am unable to upgrade and to use the remaining days.
My expenses will be £150 for the return flight, hotel and food and drinks. I am thinking of booking one of the All Stars for 5 nights.

Looks like All Stars Movies and Music are booked up for my dates in June. Sports is available on Disney USA at $795 and all 3 are available on Disney UK for $350 more!
Just go for Sports?
I have stayed at Movies before, many years ago.

Go with whatever works for your price point and the type of vacation you want to have. If you want to stay on Disney property, the All Star resorts are the cheapest ones available.

Flights and hotel all booked for 6 nights in August/September. I must remember to pack the park tickets so they can be exchanged!

Weather is brutal that time of year so be sure to be prepared for the heat!

Ideally I wouldn’t be visiting then but the week I picked worked out the best for flight availability /avoiding school holidays/cost.
I also have to fly to the UK to then fly to Orlando so didnt want to have to start adding on UK stay overs as that would impact on my holiday allowance from work.
