5 months in the Most Magical Place on Earth...my College Program TR

That is ridiculous that you can't decorate the walls. I would go nuts. Every free space of wall at my house has pictures. :lmao:

Yes it should. I'll write in white now and you can highlight it.

I knew yours was the schedule in orange. I saw it and thought, thats her handwriting....now how would I know that? I have no clue...but it just looked like how you would write. LOL

I'm the same...I LOVE my pictures so having blank walls for months was pretty sad! :sad2:

I'll write out the surprise in white at the end of my post...thanks for the little trick! :thumbsup2

So funny that you knew that was my writing!! :rotfl:

Mickey Mouse personally delivers your nametag to your room in a cute box hehe

Subbing!!

During college I never really thought about doing the program... Love reading your TR! It's definitely too late now, as I've got a bun in the oven and a husband. But definitely subbing to live vicariously through you:)

I did the next best thing I could & now am working from home as a Disney specialist travel agent! :)

Congratulations on your little prince or princess :goodvibes How exciting!!

My mom and I have been thinking about applying to become a Disney travel consultant...how do you like it? You can PM me if you want :)

Glad you are here!!

Mmmk So chapters 12 and 13 make me incredibly happy. That first night at the parks was and is one of my favorite trips to the parks ever... even though standing watching IllumiNations was freezing!! Was that the time we saw a wedding at the Italy pavilion by the water? I think so... because that was the only time I watched IllumiNations while we were down there. And that creme brulisa. YUM. The first of many hahaha.

SO EXCITED FOR BIL's CHECK IN!!!!

Yea, we didn't give IllumiNations much love while we were there...but definitely made up for it with WISHES :cool1:

It's a shame I do not enjoy creme brulisas as much as you :rotfl:

How much fun!! And of course Jen is here! :goodvibes She's the best reader on the board! Never misses a beat!

I actually know a girl who was there at the same time! She was assigned to Pirates of the Caribbean I believe… Anyway, she was a student at the same college my husband was a Grad Student at in Mississippi. Several of the girls on the dance team have done CP, so I am already planning on my daughters HAVING to do it! :rotfl:

Can't wait to read some more! Oh and congrats on your marriage!

Jen is great :goodvibes

Cast members at pirates have the CUTEST costumes! I wonder if I ever saw her :)

Glad to have you here! Oh! and your daughters have such beautiful names :goodvibes

Hi!!!! I'm applying for Fall 2012 Advantage! I am loving your report so far! I actually just found out today that I can for sure apply, so reading this just made me that much more excited!

Love this report! I'm only a freshman in college now, but I definitely want to apply for sometime in 2014 as a photopass photographer. What a dream! :goodvibes

Subbing....I have enjoyed reading your report so far:thumbsup2 My dd wanted to do the college program and we went to an information session near us, but her college wouldnt work well with the Disney program and it was going to be too much trouble. She is graduating this May and getting married in July so I guess its not in her cards:sad2: I am very excited to read all about your wonderful experience in the CP:goodvibes Interesting to know that you only have to be registered for one class. She could have done it after graduation by taking one online class like you...if she werent getting married.

Such a bummer when it doesn't work out with school...but it sounds like very exciting things are coming your daughter's way this summer! :goodvibes I'm sure you are a happy mom!! Glad to have you along for the ride :cool1:

...and by babies I mean beginning-of-the-program Natasha and Lisa who look like babies in the pictures! :rotfl: It seriously feels like we have grown up so much since last January! (Stick with the TR and at the end you can compare our pictures and tell me if you agree :thumbsup2)

Since Lisa and I were both Full Service Food & Beverage we had a lot of the same training at the beginning of our program. The first few days of training were spent at Disney University (or maybe it was only one day, just felt like forever...I wanted to get to the castle!!)

After we finished up some e-learning at DU we headed back to the apartment, grabbed some lunch, and decided to hit up the parks. Because really, what else would we do right?!

We started off at Animal Kingdom and went through this entrance:

Side note: when looking through my pictures of this day, I can't help but laugh. It was our first "solo" trip to the parks together and I have TONS of pictures of other things...animals on the safari, various areas of the park, etc. but not very many of us together because we were new friends and I didn't want to be the weird girl that takes way too many pictures :rotfl: Anyways, back to the story...

We really wanted to start off by riding Kilimanjaro Safaris so we headed to the back of the park. Unfortunately, the line was wayyyy too long so we decided to skip it...we had five months to ride it again :thumbsup2

As we were walking away from the queue, a really nice person approached us and offered us their 2 fastpasses that they weren't going to use :yay:

We thanked the people {and the Disney-magic gods} and boarded our two-week safari. Like I mentioned before, I have tons of animal pictures from this day but I will spare you. BUT I do have to throw in a couple ;)

(my favorite)

Following our return to Africa, we decided to make the trek to Asia to visit our Yeti friend...

It was getting pretty close to closing time at Animal Kingdom so we decided to head on out to the most magical kingdom of all :lovestruc

Here we are with "my" castle...

(stupid crane)

We wandered around the park and when we made it to Fantasyland we scoped out my new work location...

Then went to Tomorrowland for ice cream even though it was FREEZING...

Towards the end of the night, we parked ourselves on Main Street and watched Wishes :lovestruc:lovestruc

I miss Wishes!! And I can't wait to watch it in just TWO WEEKS from today!! :yay: That's right...in exactly two weeks I will be back in my happy place with my brother Trey, my wonderful mommy, and Lisa! We are going to be checking Trey into the college program (and playing in the parks as well!) Speaking of, we may do a Trip Report...I'll post links if we do :cool1:

After Wishes we called it a night and headed back to Chatham 23102 (and prrrrobably stopped at Taco Bell on the way home :thumbsup2)

Hi:)
I just found your TR - it's very interesting.
My DD is in 8th grade and we've talked about the CP before. I know it's early - lol, but we love WDW and it would be great for her to be able to go there for a CP. And I'll remember to tell my DH that (frequent) trips from Mom will make it go smoother;)
My DS is in 5th grade so it would be nice to have them both do the CP.
My brother lives in Riverside, CA and we hope to visit next year and go to Disneyland.
Can't wait to read more.
Amy
btw - we live in WV - I can't wait to tell my DD that one of your roommies was from WV.

HaHa...you and that ice cream cone! You know, every time we go to Disneyland I always think of it when we walk by the place where it should be IF we were at Disneyworld!! I meant to tell you that last week when we were there!! :goodvibes

Two weeks....two weeks!!

Wait! I know I love the giraffes.....but YOU love the Rhinos????????? HUH???!!:rotfl: Who knew..

...and by babies I mean beginning-of-the-program Natasha and Lisa who look like babies in the pictures!

:goodvibes I remember standing there watching wishes and having such good feelings about what was to come. I can't WAIT to go back!!!

Thanks! I see that you were just down in Orlando...SO jealous!! How did you like Harry Potter world? That is one thing I wish I would have done on my CP that I didn't...guess I'll have to go back :rotfl:

I have to say Harry Potter was very impressive. You really feel like you are in Hogsmeade. You definitely have to make time to visit. I can't wait to go back.

Thanks for the update. Looking forward to more.

I would love just being able to go to the parks whenever and thinking oh well we have 5 months to ride it, no need for it today! :thumbsup2

You look so excited in all of the pics! I would be too... 5 months of "living" at Disney World? I wouldn't know what to do with it ;)
