Glad to have you on board! :cool1:The holidays have been super busy so I haven't had much time to update the blog or the TR but now that it is officially the new year I am back in business!:banana:

I once had a guy come in and asked me for a Disney haircut. LOL! I had no clue what it was (must've been the early to mid 90's). It was basically a clean cut look. he worked for Disney and was home visiting. He said at that time only the top guys got the pleasure of having their hair the way the ywanted and to grow mustaches, etc.

Usually CPs are given the day after check-in off so that they can get settled into their new homes. I still had some clothes to unpack and some photos to put up but felt that spending time with mommy while she was still there was more important! :lovestruc

Since we didn’t want to spend the extra money and go to a park, we headed off property to explore Celebration. It is such a cute little town and I’m really glad we went there.

While we were there, I found a house that I would love to pick up and move to California…it was so adorable!!

Since we were stuffed beyond belief after O’hana last night, we didn’t get our beloved Dole Whips so of course we had to today!:thumbsup2 We got to the Polynesian, filled up our cups pretty darn high (gotta love that self-serve!) and found a spot to relax on the beach. The Dole Whips with the vanilla swirl are amazing…and when they start to melt a little bit…it’s live heaven on earth - YUM! Sadly, there is no vanilla swirl option at Disneyland....so very sad.

I love the view from that beach :lovestruc Who doesn't right?!

Since we could see “my” castle in the background, we took some pictures…

We ran into Belle and her parents while we were on the beach…they wanted to get in on the Dole Whip action too! :rotfl:

After the beach we decided to ride the monorail for one loop...

AHHHH MAGIC KINGDOM!!!!! :lovestruc

I received a call from Casting and they told me I needed to come into the building to fix something on my paperwork. For whatever reason, I was really nervous that I had messed up big time! It was like being called to the principal’s office :lmao:

So we headed to casting and all that I had to do was put “N/A” in the middle name section since I don’t have one (I had left it blank...whoops!). With that out of the way, we went back to my apartment to get the wireless internet set up and just relaxed for a while.

That afternoon, I got another phone call from casting but this time with good news! I had originally been scheduled for the afternoon session of Traditions (a class for new cast members…more on this later) but they wanted to move me to the morning class! :yay: This was great news because at Traditions you get your Disney ID which lets you into the parks…and if you are in the morning class you have the afternoon/evening to play in the parks! Lisa got the same call that I did so we were excited :dance3:

Hi there! Thanks so much for writing this. I'm going to be applying for DCP Fall Advantage as soon as applications are available, and I'm just devouring all the information I can. Your report is wonderful! I can't wait to read more!

I can't get enough of your TR. Keep the updates coming :thumbsup2. Celebration is beautiful. I would love to live there.

I'm late joining in, but I'm all caught up now.

Can't wait to hear all about your CP experience! I really dream about doing this... maybe the semester after my senior year...?

How exciting! Applications should be coming out this month :) Do you know what roles you are going to apply for? If you ever have any questions let me know!

Welcome! I loved doing my program after my senior year because I didn't have to think about school at all while I was down there :cool1:

I'm loving your TR as well! Looks like you went down with a fun group.

I love that! Now all guys have the freedom to grow/wear? a mustache...unfortunately :rotfl2: I'm not the biggest facial hair fan

I have NO idea which roles to apply for! I basically love them all. I know that I want to work with as many people as possible, so I'm thinking attractions, Full Service Food and Bev and Hospitality. But I don't know because I also want to do EVERYTHING!!!

I appreciate the offer-- I might PM you with a barrage of questions later :goodvibes

Update, update, update!!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Three more weeks and we will be in the World!!:cool1::cool1:

WARNING: this update is lacking in good photos but it does have lots of "behind-the-scenes" info :thumbsup2

The morning of my Tradition's class I was awake and ready to go in my professional attire before the sun had made an appearance. Unfortunately, it was even too early for me to get my daily oatmeal :sad2:

Mommy drove me to Chatham Square so I could catch one a bus to Disney University. There were two busses waiting at the bus stop when I arrived so I boarded the one that seemed less crowded. My roommates had all slept in our apartment the night before so they all arrived at the bus stop together. By the time they got there, my bus was full so they ended up on a different bus.

The bus ride was pretty uneventful, I chatted with some of the girls who were sitting near me and we compared roles/work locations. So far I had yet to find a fellow CRT worker :confused3

Driving behind Magic Kingdom and into the Disney University parking lot was pretty exciting :yay:

I waited outside of my bus for Lisa and we went into DU together. This is what we saw on our way in:

(look how excited that girl looks...we were the same! haha)

The Disney University building is SO cute. The hallways are filled with various Disney items -- the profiles on Disney artists being my favorite :lovestruc Also, throughout the building you can find some of your favorite characters peeking at you through the ceiling :lmao:

In the lobby we were directed towards our training room for the day. Luckily, Lisa and I were in the same room because we were both FSFB  It was great to have each other during the whole experience :goodvibes

After checking in, we spent some time doing introductions and then got right into training. There were A LOT of videos welcoming us to the team and giving us a history of the company (most of which Lisa and I already knew :rotfl:) We must have spent over an hour watching videos when our Tradition's leader announced that she was going to take us to the Magic Kingdom....

We all assumed that this meant another video that takes place in Magic Kingdom since we had already "heard from" and been "visited by" many Disney executives on video so really, nobody was very excited....

She then announced again "I am taking you to Magic Kingdom!!!"....

and it clicked....

WE ARE GOING TO MAGIC KINGDOM....RIGHT NOW!!!!

:dance3:

Once the excitement died down, she explained the rules to us and distributed our headsets. We then boarded a bus and were on our way "underground"

The utilidors that are underneath the Magic Kingdom are not actually underground, Magic Kingdom is simply on the second floor :)

We got off the bus, and headed single-file into the utilidors. I will never forget how excited I was at that moment! We got a quick tour of the entrance to the utilidors...the Mouseketeria, the "zoo", the learning center, etc. As we were being led down Main Street I got my first glimpse of the CRT entrance :lovestruc

After a few twists and turns we were brought up a stairwell and given an announcement that we were going to be going "on stage". Our guide opened these large doors and as we walked through announced that these were our first steps in Magic Kingdom as cast members.

I swear to you...everything was happening in slow motion, and I'm pretty sure I could hear an angel's choir :rotfl::rotfl:

Pure magic :wizard:

We were brought to Tomorrowland and we all had to complete an activity with our group (consisted of who was sitting at our table in the classroom) I was in a group with Lisa and "the mormons" -- I don't remember their names buuuut do remember they were all from BYU :thumbsup2

The rest of the day in the classroom was a blur (but an enjoyable blur!)

Here is a picture with us at the end of class with "the mormons":

I couldn't have asked for better table buddies that day :goodvibes

There was another magical surprise during class but I really don't want to spoil that for any future cast member :) We all received our nametags and Disney ID's at the end of class and were then released!!
