5 Girls and a Boys Not So Scary Halloween PTR ~ 10/10 TR link

Jack loves Cars too, in fact we did a Cars night a while back with some similar foods! I think we will do it again before Cars 2 comes out!

So I finally got around to doing our movie night, only a couple days late :confused3

Before I post that, Emma and I went shopping this morning and get her costume for MNSSHP

Yep that's Ariel's wedding dress and she looks so darn cute in it!!!!

The lady at the Disney Store said they have been selling like hotcakes and just got more in yesterday :woohoo:

Now on to Movie night

This week was Eryka's pick

020.jpg

I know silly but she loves those dogs. I did not make them use the dog bowls this week because instead of a dog theme I thought I would go with a Christmas theme

Dinner was traditional Turkey

019.jpg

To drink we had Ohana juice (LOVE it)

018.jpg

And for dessert we had snow covered donuts

017.jpg

I also set up our princess Christmas tree

016.jpg

It was fun, but it is so nice out tonight the kids didn't want activities so they went outside to play with their friends

Wow what a great Cars night with lots packed in!

I love all the food including the traffic lights! All your activities are simple but yet so much fun! :)

That's the key to our movie nights - simple but fun! :rotfl2: Each Wednesday I tell myself the next one will be low key but as soon as I choose the movie and start planning the night, I get carried away again!

Love the wedding dress costume, SO cute!!!!!!

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 to both of you on the movie nights

My boys can't wait for Cars 2 to come out, so those are some great ideas for us to use waiting to go see the movie. We can make a fun day out of it.

LOVE the Ariel wedding dress, she looks too cute

can't wait to see what is next in your planning and the next movie nights

I loved both of the movie nights!!!! You both choose great themes & I always love to see how creative you are with your food choices! It would probably take me 3 days just to choose the food! :lmao:

Luke saw the Cars theme & kept talking about Lightning McQueen & Mater!!!! I bet we're ALL excited for Cars II !!!!!!! :thumbsup2

Thanks again for emailing me the countdown chain...I swear we were going to make it over this past weekend, but of course we never got around to it. Last night I wanted to work on it, but Luke wanted to go back outside to play. It was the only nice day we had in the past week or so. Saturday it was warm, but it rained most of the afternoon/evening. My goal for this week one day is to complete that chain!!! ;)

Love the MNSSHP costume! And YUMMY Ohana juice!!! I'm still thinking about switching from Kona Cafe to Ohana -- and just seeing that juice reminds me I need to make a choice!

Love the updates, can't wait to hear more & see next week's movie nights!!!!

great movie nights again ladies...I see a theme w/ the snow tires/donuts :thumbsup2

great Ariel dress too for Emma so sweet princess:

Love the Christmas movie theme night! When I was little, my grandmother used to do Halloween parties for me and my cousins every summer when we could come visit. I t was so fun getting dressed up and trick to treating in her house, and then we would all sleep over. I love celebrating holidays in the "off season"!

If you are asking for my opinion.. I would choose Ohana, but everyone knows it's my favorite breakfast. You can't beat the eggs and the juice and soft mickey waffles... plus Stitch is there and he's cool :thumbsup2

great movie nights again ladies...I see a theme w/ the snow tires/donuts :thumbsup2

I would celebrate Christmas all year long but everyone makes me take down my decorations :sad2:

Love the dress. Claire had the older version and outgrew it.. I was so sad to sell it, but why keep it around.

Alex smiles and shakes his head at me a lot when I'm giggling over some of the food names -- so fun! :rotfl: Woo hoo for Cars 2 !

It's hard to stay indoors now that the nice weather is here. We took two different times to get our chain together (even if my stapler hadn't broken I think I would have called it an early day anyway!) Good luck!!

great movie nights again ladies...I see a theme w/ the snow tires/donuts :thumbsup2

great Ariel dress too for Emma so sweet princess:

Thanks Julie.... I laughed too at the snow tires and snow donuts -- great minds! ;)

Time again for another movie night! This week I was determined to scale things back just a teeny bit. Our Cars night was a blast, but we had so many things to do -- while fun, it made it a late night.

So in choosing our movie, I wanted a simple theme that I knew the kids would LOVE. I found the perfect one!

monstersinc.jpg

We only had two food items tonight:

Pixar Pizza - told ya it was an easy night ;)
Mike's Eye Scream - get it? Eye Scream??? :lmao:

First thing, the kids were recruited to work in our factory. (Downloaded font! :thumbsup2 )

2011_0510Misc0011.jpg

I'd posted that on the door to our dining room and the kids ran back upstairs to put their jammies on. Ariana's eyes lit up when she read it was a sleep over. She LOVES sleep overs. She's never actually been to one, but George and I would throw them in our living room for her when Alex had been invited off to one of his friends. It's been a while since we had one, so she was thrilled we were doing it tonight. :goodvibes

They came back downstairs with their pillows and blankets and saw for the first time our setup....

2011_0510Misc0012.jpg

We had Boo's door placemats, and pleasantly convenient blue Monster's Inc plates  and their ID badges....

2011_0510Misc0014.jpg

2011_0510Misc0016.jpg

And all of the characters we had around the house all wanted to join us, being stars of the show and all.....

I'd downloaded Sully, Mike and Boo masks, but I didn't want to wear them during dinner as masks. Remember the game Headbanz? Well, I grabbed three headbanz (I knew Alex wouldn't particularly enjoy wearing one so I only needed three!) and instead of cutting holes out for the eyes, we wore them as headbanz!

2011_0510Misc0021.jpg

2011_0510Misc0022.jpg

Just a few little activities today so we could get right to the movie. We had a few maze colouring sheets I downloaded and a picture frame that we had a little fun making the kids the centrepiece....

(Please once again ignore the messies on Demetri's face -- I swear every picture I take of him you can completely tell he's just eaten!! :upsidedow )

CONTINUED IN THE NEXT POST.....

Off to the living room we went to snuggle up for our sleep over....

2011_0510Misc0033.jpg

2011_0510Misc0029.jpg

I'd forgotten how cute this Pixar short was at the beginning of the movie. Remember these birds?

2011_0510Misc0030.jpg

2011_0510Misc0032.jpg

Too funny!!!

With some Mike's Eye Scream as a movie treat....

2011_0510Misc0038.jpg

.... it was time to watch the show!

2011_0510Misc0034.jpg

From the moment it started until the end, the kids and I were belly laughing! This movie is so darn funny and we loved it. Boo is absolutely ADORABLE and Mike and Sully are a blast. When I was gathering the toys to decorate our table for tonight, I'd found George.... not my George ;) but the monster that has the misfortune of a sock landing on his back hailing in the CDA (Child Detection Agency). I can't remember where I stashed him so he never made it to the table. :rotfl:

Last, but once again not least - we took another segment of links down....

2011_0510Misc0039.jpg

Another week closer!!!

I love Monsters Inc.!!!! I also love sleepovers in the living room, but my new couch is not comfy enough for that :sad2:
