I have never been to Disney on Ice before and I can't wait to see it!

I love the countdown chain! And I can't wait to hear about your movie nights since I tend to live vicariously through them! (I'm still working on convincing DBF to have some in prep for our EE Challenge trip).

I love our movie nights! Now that hockey officially ended today we might shift it to a different night, but we look forward to it every week!

Can't wait to hear about Disney on Ice! It looks like so much fun! I remember going to those when I was younger too so I'm sure they're great memories for your family as well!

Yesterday was the day we had been waiting for, we were off to see Disney on Ice with Tracy, Ariana and Demetri!!! I am going to do my update then Tracy can post anything she wants as well!!!

I got to Tracy’s just after 1pm and I finally got to meet George! My kids love him since from the minute they walked through the door he was feeding them!

We left around 2pm to head over so we would have time to check out the merchandise! Of course as soon as we got there we each got a program which came with free Mickey Ears. Nice that it came with them, but we each had 2 kids and I knew Emma would be upset that Eryka got a pair.

When we got upstairs we saw that the cotton candy also came with Ears! Smart thinking Disney, now they both have a pair!

We decided we needed a group shot and let me tell you there is not an abundance of CM’s like at Disney World to take a picture for you. We looked around until we spotted a nice man that didn’t have a bunch of kids in tow or hands full of merch, and asked him if he would take our picture for us. He was nice enough to do it and Eryka noticed that he was wearing a DVC hat, leave it to us to find the DVC member in the crowd

Then we looked at all the cool stuff

We got some popcorn and slushies (they came in cool cups and Emma got the Tink one and I got the light up one!

Then it was time to take our seats. Now I took pictures but my brothers camera that I took (should have taken mine) doesn’t take great pics when you zoom in so they are not great pictures but they will have to do.

Hopefully Tracy will have good pictures for you since she was closer and had a better camera!

We promised pictures this time Natalie and the girls reached our place a few hours before the show was to start. We figured we'd have time for a quick visit before going to the arena together to check out any merchandise they had for sale.

George wasn't in the basement today and he finally got to meet everyone. A bit of time before we wanted to go so that meant Wii time!!

I've been quizzing Ariana off and on about who is coming on this trip. She tells me, and then I ask her where Alex and George are going to be and she says, "At home." So far so good.


George dropped us off at the arena so we wouldn't have to worry about parking. First thing we see as we get in are the programs I knew I wanted to get because of how well loved our Princess one was. Like Natalie said, this year they came with Mickey ears so I thought it would work out well that Ariana got the book as a souvenier and Demetri would get the ears.

Seemed just fine and dandy until Ariana promptly put the ears on her head before I'd even paid for anything. Demetri's sad little face told me I'd have to find him something too because Ariana didn't appear likely to fork those babies over at all.

Heading towards our section, we stopped at the booths along the way to see all that they had.

Natalie spotted the same Mickey ears on the cotton candy and voila! All the kids now had ears!

We snagged the DVC guy for a group picture....

.... and a few more of the kids while we grabbed all our snackies and treats.

Approaching show time, we said our temporary goodbyes to Natalie and the girls while we found our seats. Here's an angled picture to show our proximity to the ice.

Ariana was pouring over the program....

.... and Demetri was too excited to hold back anything but a super silly grin on his face.

Notice the almost empty popcorn bucket. As we were in our row finding our seats, Demetri promptly spilled three quarters of his bucket.


We looked back to find Natalie and the girls and the lights dimmed just as I took their picture. See them?

MERRY UNBIRTHDAY
Mickey wants a party hat to wear to an UnBirthday.
So he grabs the Mad Hatter's hat and quickly zips away.
Laughing and shouting, his friends join the race
In a wild, wacky UnBirthday party hat chase.

I was thrilled when this next segment came out! My beloved brooms!!


SWEEPING SURPRISES!
Before he has a party, Mickey has to sweep the room,
So he puts on a Magic Hat and enchants a little broom.
But suddenly brooms, brooms, BROOMS are all he can see.
They're twirling everywhere on a spinning, sweeping spree!

TRICKY TREATIN' HALLOWEEN
Jack Skellington LOVES Halloween,
When zombies and villans can be seen.
As they come creeping through the night,
Just yell a loud BOO - and give them a fright!


Our angle was a little off on this segment so all of my pictures are from the side.

That area in the stage kept changing to whatever scene was on the ice. Demetri was watching it a few times while still trying to watch the skating.

The webbing in this next picture flew down when Jack stepped thru his gate - a VERY cool effect.

One by one, Jack's villanous guests arrived. Demetri had an absolute blast trying to predict who was coming out each time the doorbell rang.

Mickey then arrived to the party and felt a little..... out of place.

All of the party guests, being Villans and all, were trying to get Mickey to take a bite from the shiny red apple being offered by the Old Hag. Mickey was asking the audience's advice and once again Demetri was yelling and hollering DON'T EAT THE APPLE!!!!

This time... Mickey listened. We all yelled BOO! and the Villans ran off in fright.


BE MY VALENTINE
Minnie Mouse dreams of finding her true Valentine.
While dancing at a Royal Ball, Mickey says, "Be mine!"
And suddenly Minnie knows deep within her heart
He's always been her Valentine - from the very start!


Ariana was enthralled with this segment. She loves the princesses of course and any dancing and lifts with from their prince and she was bouncing for joy in her seat. Thankfully the woman on the other side of Ariana was not disturbed by her bouncing.

One of Ariana's very, very favorite characters is the Fairy Godmother.

My photos of the princesses were usually when they were doing a lift, so some of them are in quite funny poses.

As wonderful as that segment was, Ariana's excitement was off the charts when this next one began!!


ALOHA ADVENTURE!
Aloha! (That means "Welcome") Stitch and Lilo say
To Mickey, Minnie and the gang on their Hawaiian Holiday
They do the limbo at a luau and dance the hula too,
While Goofy surfs the waves on the ocean blue.


While "Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride" played, I don't think Ariana stopped bouncing at all throughout!

Demetri was amazed this didn't melt the ice! Tons of beach balls then dropped down.

We were hootin and hollerin when that finished up! Throughout these segments, Mickey and Minnie were separated while trying to find the perfect spot to go on vacation. They had a magic doo-hickey that would take them places but it took them awhile before they found one another again.


SPRING INTO FUN
Spring is a grand time for having a ball,
With parades, festivals and fun for all.
Get ready to laugh, clap hands and sing,
With Mickey, Minnie and friends on a spring fling!

MAGICAL MARDI GRAS
There's music in the air. Catch the foot-tappin beat
As Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen whirl down the street.
It's Mardi Gras in New Orleans and as stars shine above,
Tiana makes a wish, kisses a frog, and finds her own true love.


This was a lot of fun!

ROUND UP SOME FUN
Get set for some rip-roarin' holiday fun
With Buzz, Woody, Jessie and everyone.
They're having a heel-kicking galactic blast
Celebrating friendships that are built to last!

The troll doll was absolutely hysterical and did a moon walk at one point!

Hamm was a riot too. He kept going up on his two back legs approaching the people in the chairs around the rink and even got really fancy and went up on one leg.

HOORAY FOR THE HOLIDAYS!
Mickey loves the holidays - so do all his friends.
When they're celebrating, the magic never ends.
They ride a sparkling sleigh to bring this wish to you:
"May your holidays be merry - and all your dreams come true!"

Fabulous show!!!! We all loved it and it was great to share the fun with Natalie, Eryka and Emma. We really liked our seats and though we would have had a great view too higher up where we were to see the Princess Classics DOI, I'd splurge again to get that close.


Back at my place, the kids said their goodbyes (Ariana had already booted it inside!) ....

.... and we promised to make more plans to get together again very soon for backyard play. Hurry up warm weather!!!
