5 Epcot Rumors (A Disney Rumors video is on pg. 6)

Actually, the "Frozenization" of Maelstrom is probably more likely than any of the five originally mentioned items considering the popularity of those characters, as it would be pretty low cost and give a large boost to Epcot's "Must Do" list. (They may call Maelstrom a "Tier 1", but it is only that for lack of other Tier 1 rides.)
That's why I believe it more than the others

If he was the guy that did the Three Caballeros overlay of Mexico, I wouldn't want him touching Frozen on Maelstrom with a ten foot pole. I can't think of a worse overlay anywhere.
Well I think Disney might open the budget a bit more for a frozen overlay from what I've heard this would be a much larger overlay than that but not a completely different ride.

Why? It's much better then the awful ride they used to have there. I'd rather watch Donald and his friends travel all around Mexico than just some random people.

I know I'm in the minority (like a minority of 1) but I would love to see Imagination pavilion changed into a "Meet the Robinsons" theme. I know the movie didn't do too well, but it is very undervalued movie and the theme aligns with the original intent of the pavilion seamlessly—Imagination, discovery...keep moving forward.

That is if there is absolutely no ideas to modify and keep Figment. AS the original tenant there, I would prefer he stays....just as a different attraction.

As much as I love them, I cant see the Muppets fitting into that building. The all glass, pyramid shapes just don't fit with the rag-tag, backstage, visual gag style of the Muppets.

I understand that they may need a new home if that area of HS transforms into a SW theme, but I just can't see them in Epcot.

As for a bug/body attraction. I would welcome something like this as an addition to FW. I don't think the 2 fit together, but I think either has merit on their own.

A new "Life" attraction: I miss body wars. Even though it was the same ride type as Star tours, It did have a good and interesting premise. With all the attention on health and wellness, I could see interest in a new ride focused on the human body and taking care of it.

As for "bugs"? They do have the largest population on earth and—as I tell my kids—they do have benefits beyond being just icky. I'm no bug expert, but maybe there is certain species that contribute to scientific advancements or global conservation? Getting into their world could be interesting.

I know I am probably part of a very small minority and Jim Henson was a look-forward person, but the current location was Henson's last major project and so for the historical value, I would like to see modifications done there. Besides, last I heard, don't they have movies? Hence Disney Studios? In fact, their (Henson) studio front is featured in their last movie. Sorry, I remember when.....

I'm still confused as to why Epcot closed the Life pavilion in the first place, but if there is talk about re-opening it, I think it would be a PERFECT place for WALL-E and Eva to dish on protecting the environment and eating healthy in the vein of all that the movie criticizes. The building even looks like an environdome so it would be too much of a stretch. A 3D ride simulator would fit in quite well, I would think.

Bottom line, Wall-E belongs in Future World as much as Nemo does, if not MORE!!!! Why is he not there?

I've been thinking the same thing. I would love to see Wall-E take the place of the Ellen ride. That ride is too long and many people feel way too boring.

I'm surprised Disney has done nothing with wall-e in the parks.

As far as changing out the Energy ride... hmm. I don't think Wall-E would be any more interesting than dinosaurs, but maybe they COULD do the show over with someone who's not a celebrity that you watch and say "Ohhh she was so Young!" you know? And who is Bill Nye? My kids are old enough to remember him, but barely.

I never got the reason the don't open at 9 either. It would help a little with the morning crush letting people spread out some more. My wife would love to be able to stroll down to France for a pastry in the morning.

Maybe since they sell alcohol and the food selections are more a lunch/dinner fare? Even through F&W they open at 11. The bakery in France is open early though. DH and I have gone over there for a nice breakfast at an outside table. Great way to start the day!

That would be my guess if they did open it half of the stuff would still be closed until lunch hours.

1. World Showcase may change their opening time to 9 am

They are probably thinking of changing the time to 9 am because they want to spread out the crowd at Epcot. The people staying at Yacht, Beach and Boardwalk would seem to get a major advantage if they do make a Ratatouille ride because the International Gateway is closer to it than the main entrance.

Very very little chance ratatouille happens I doubt it. It's seeming more likely frozen will be coming tho. If there isn't enough to do in world showcase most people, would stay in future world when park opens anyways. I don't see an earlier open if something isn't done in world showcase.

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree. Because I think Ratatouille has more of a chance of coming to Epcot than Frozen. Frozen would be better at Magic Kingdom, where they usually put the princesses.

I have several sources that say frozen is coming and these sources have been correct in the past. Ratatouille is just a rumor because the man that created it tom Fitzgerald is now in charge of Epcot. I agree that frozen would be much better at MK or even DHS but we obviously don't work on the top of Disney to make those decisions. Plans are supposedly in place for maelstrom to get a long refurb that will last over a year starting in January. A refurb like that would mean a total make over. Of course tho Disney has not announced anything. I would much rather have an e ticket in MK but I just don't see it happening be say they just finished NFL and need to work on the other parks which get worse every year.

Yep, they're called google, wdwthemeparks and wdwmagic. Anybody can find them online, they aren't sources, they're websites. http://www.wdwthemeparks.com/rumors/2012/08/08/maelstrom-refurbishment
The spirit on WDWmagic is a very good source he has been right in the past and he just got back from a Disney cruise where George Scribner a Disney imagineer said I'm working on something for maelstrom and it's frozen. Scribner did the three caballeros in the Mexican pavilion. I don't search rumors on google. Wdwthemeparks supposedly also had a source that said frozen is coming. I'm not saying that I 100% agree and that is fact that frozen is coming but when there is this much traffic on something it ends up happening a lot. I'd much rather have frozen in MK and characters out of world showcase but that doesn't seem to be the route Disney is going.

A source is a person you actually have talked to in person or on a phone. It isn't someone whose post you read on a message board. At least Disneysource made up a story about some relative. He probably doesn't exist, but if he does he would actually be a viable source.

Where exactly are some of these rides going in EPCOT? I know where is space between countries, but what has to go in the UK for Alice, and what goes in France for Ratatouille?

And is it wrong I want more...modern Future stuff in FutureWorld? I would kill for an updated Horizons that embodies the spirit of the original, while using the newest technologies in Imagineering, to show life in the future? Seems S though EPCOT is losing the spirit of Walts vision. :/
