5 day Park Hopper Question

I can get tickets at work for myself and my immediate family only. I bought four 5-day park hoppers for an upcoming family reunion. I was wondering. Can anyone use the tickets as long as it doesn't surpass 5 days? I was hoping I could share a day or two with members of the family who are really stretching to make this trip. Not everyone will be going to the park every day.

Park hopper tickets are not tranferrable. The person who uses the ticket on the first day has to use all the days. You are now required to put your fingers in a biometric scanner to prove that the ticket belongs to you.

Exactly.

Disney has worked hard to stop the practice of sharing passes. As others have said you now have to have a biometric scan of your fingers each time you enter a park, to demonstrate that you are the ticket owner.

Being a prepared DIS'er, I took an indelible marker on this trip to write everyones name on their pass.

Not sure how well that finger scanner concept works. Each day after we entered the park, I put all of our passes into my pack. Then each time we entered a new park, I just passed them out randomly to my family. We were never stopped going into the park, even though we had to scan our fingers.
Could it be just a mind game they're playing with us?????

Okay then. If we have 5 day passes and only use say 3 days, can we put a no expiration option on the remaining 2 days or must we have a no expiration option on the whole 5 days? I really wanted to buy 3 day passes, but the options were 1, 4, and 5. And the 5 day was only 7.00 more than the 4 day. As I said, we will be having a family reunion, and I know we won't be at the parks every day.

The no-expiration option can be added at any time, but the price will be based on a 5-day ticket.
