5-6 free hours, what would you do?

My mom, DD8, and I are going to WDW early December. We'll be there for 9 days staying at Pop. Will have park hoppers and Express transportation (assuming they still have it). I've got ADRs planned for CRT, Via Napoli, TH, 50's PT, and BOG. Planning Candlelight Processional and Rivers of Light packages and plan to purchase MVMCP.

My question, there is one day that I will have about 5-6 hours to myself. What would you do? I know most would say sleep...but I don't do that well on vacation. Last time we went, I did the same thing. My family stayed behind for a rest half day. I tooled around MK, with no plan. I did the whole "take it all in" thing and just enjoyed the sites. It was heaven. I'm thinking of doing the same thing this time, but at the WS. What would you do with a free six hours?

You're thinking what I'm thinking - walk around WS. I love just walking around WS and seeing the shows, the movies and all the exhibits.

Either WS like you're planning, a tour, shopping at DS (I'm not sure about your family but I can't do this with my kids and husband), or I'd resort hop and check those out.

For some relaxed, leisurely paced touring than WS would be my choice as well, but what I would enjoy more than that would be a behind the scenes tour.

From your trip countdown, it looks like you will be there during the holidays. Great time to take a tour of the monorail resorts, boat ride to WL, or walk around Epcot resorts. Grab lunch, Dole Whip, ice cream at Beaches and Cream.

WS will have all of the holiday storytellers. We go often in late Nov/early Dec and have never been able to hit them all because the kids get bored and the timing is difficult to arrange. If I was alone, I'd sit down with the Storyteller schedule and find a way to make it to them all!

World Showcase sounds like a good plan. Every time we have gone to Epcot I have wanted to spend more time there but family members are ot interested. I would like to explore every inch of it lol.
