I haven't had the chance to talk w/them about it, but I completed the FE and bought stuff for all of us to participate but might be all lumped together in one "deposit".

I can't believe how fast this cruise is coming up. We haven't started packing yet but we're all putting our lists together of what to bring. DH won't wear a tux on formal night, but maybe a suit. Last year he just did slacks and sport coat. I'll probably wear the little black dress that always comes in so handy! As for daughters...not sure on them either. As for Nassau...looks like we're the minority because we actually enjoyed it last year! We'll definitely get off the boat and hang out for the day. We went to cable beach (I think that's the name) and had so much fun playing in the waves. The taxi ride wasn't so fun....made me alittle nervous.... Most of all, we can't wait to just enjoy time away! I can see it now....sitting on the verandah, sipping coffee, watching the sun come up. Pure Paradise!!

We've not started packing yet either. Well at least not officially. This weekend I went into my sons room and he was organizing his pin collection in preparation for some serious trading. Today DD was home sick from school with mom and when I came home for lunch she informed me that she had packed her purse for vacation. I still haven't looked inside to see what she's bringing. I better before we get to the airport, who knows what a 7yo may try to bring in her purse.

We too booked this cruise a long time ago. Actually two years ago next week on a 7 day Western cruise to be exact. The kids have grown so much in those two years it will be a new experience for them. Just over 39 days until we get on a plane to Florida!

I'm the queen of lists so I've finalized my packing list, my clothes list, the kids clothes list and I made Tim at least glance through his clothes to make sure he doesn't need anything major.

I don't think it matters. I would think that some families might do a room gift, some will do individual gifts, and some might even do both (like me). We want this to be fun so don't stress out over it. I'm sure everyone will enjoy the exchange whether its a room gift or individual gifts.

Speaking of the Fish Extenders gift exchange.........this is just a reminder (in case some late comers want to participate) the last day to sign up for the Fish Exchange is Sunday, May 9th. If you are interested in joining the exchange, just post who will be in your party (# of adults and children) and I will gladly add it to the list. Also, don't forget to post your cabin number when you find out.

I want to know my cabin number!! I'm still GTY. But maybe my chances of an upgrade are better with GTY...

I'm working on my FE gifts and starting to pack. I think things will start to get better for me next week. We've got a big Peer Critique in my department this week and I've been going insane getting ready for it. The out-of-towners decend tomorrow and I get to play gracious hostess for 3 days. I may go through DIS withdrawls.

So I posted up there *points up* that I wanted to know my cabin number, then logged in and checked my reservation, and I have a cabin number. No upgrade, still a standard inside stateroom, and it's one of the sideways ones. I don't know if there is still a chance of being upgraded closer to the cruise date or not, but if we stay where we are, we'll be in #5005.

i spoke with someone yesterday that just got back from Disney World... I spent as much time as I could soaking up their Disney glow... It was a little reawakening that I needed. I am totally ready for this trip.

its sad that me, a 29 year old father of 2, is looking forward to the mouse.

I am trying to do Fe gifts that are for the individuals. Not everyone may get the same thing though. Depends on how many sign up. If any of you are big scrapbookers, let me know, I'll want to make sure you get the one gift I picked up !!

DS has been home sick 2 days with a sinus infection, so bad it's coming out his eyes !! Not pink eye per say, but my eyes are now burning like crazy. I thought I could send him to school tomorrow since he has been on antibiotic and eye drops for 24 hrs, but now he has the "poopies" from the medicine. does anyone mind if we bypass the early part of May and go straight to the end of the month...I need this vacation.

I think it is cute that people are already packing. We leave 3pm on May 29th and I'll probably pack the thur & friday before. I can't even think about it yet.

I go through my cruise clothes suitcase at least once a day!
I just like to look at it.


Unfortunately, I've been adding some to the suitcase everyday and I think by the time we leave I'll be way overpacked!

I think I need to leave the suitcase alone.

Not sad!!! My husband is 47, no kids, and is looking forward to WDW more than any little kid I've ever known....... .

We got ours today also. We didn't get an upgrade either, but deck 6, 3 doors down from the elevator. Seems like a good location to me. An upgrade would've been great, but we are still happy with just being on the ship.

Question about taking chocolate on board. I'm pretty sure I can carry on hershey kisses still in the bag, but if I get them out and divide them up for the people I'm traveling with, can I still take them onboard? (I don't want to check chocolate in Florida in summer). Anybody know?

Well, it is finally beginning to sink in that our trip is only a little over a month away! DH and I were up till midnight last night talking about how we can't wait for this vacation. We have been so busy with school and DS has been sick so often this year, that we are ready to get away and relax and be carefree for a while and what better place but WDW and DCL?!? And, ah.....Castaway Cay, not once but twice!!! Love that place!
Must admit though, after all the talking, I realized that I have lots to do before we leave! Better get on the ball!
