5/30/2010-5 Night Disney Wonder Memorial Day Double Dip! Roster-Post 626 on page 42

Good Evening Everyone!

Tami, Thanks for the revised banner. Looks great!!!

we have done tshirts both ordered from a company and iron on. It doesn't matter to us what way we go. When we had them done by a company, one of the girls ordered them ALL and then mailed them out to each of us. that, I am SURE, was a ton of work. I think if we go with a company, we should go with one where we can each order our shirts individually. One thought is CafePress.com. I have not used them, but have ordered from there. there is the option of making money on the order, or just pricing it at the cost. If we "were" to add on a buck or 2, maybe we could donate the money to a cause? Give The Kids The World, or the like. We would just have to trust that whoever does this, is honest enough to donate the money. Juat an idea. I have also heard of Zazzle.com, but I don't know as much about them. I do remember hearing some people having trouble with that site, but I can't remember what it was.

Christopher, I too, have trouble saying NO to people! I have been good about saying no to the daycare when they ask me to come in, but I ALWAYS feel bad! I sort of wish I hadn't worked today. I have over extended myself this week! I'll manage some how! For starters, I probably be up to midnight doing wash tonight...which is NOT what I like to do!!!!

Off to watch the rest of Idol, flip the wash once more and try to relax a little!

Do you recall approximately how much the repo cruise was for 2 adults? Or do I have to learn to be patient :(

Sorry, there were 5 of us. I do know if varied dramatically by stateroom category. The good news is that the repo cruises are usually a really good value on a per day basis. My guess is that if you go with a Cat 12 stateroom GTY room, that it would be somewhere around $2,000 per person. That's just a pure guess. We looked into the WB Transatlantic cruise in September 2010 for just the two of us. With airfare through Disney, we could have booked a Cat 10 stateroom for under $5,000 and I think the airfare was around $1,000 pp, so that made the cruise itself about $1,500 pp. That was 14 days. I think they'll ask more for the Panama Canal cruise due to its popularity.

I got to thinking about how on our cruise, there was a meet thread for it before we could even book it, so I went out to search for it tonight and sure enough, there's already a Wonder Panama Canal repo cruise thread. Here's the link.

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?p=31248963&posted=1#post31248963

Just a warning, once that cruise is booked, the meet thread will move very rapidly. On our meet thread, there were easily 10 to 15 pages a day of posts and sometimes many more than that. You had to just jump in when you could as it was impossible to keep up with it. Sometimes it was just pages of nonsense, but it was a lot of fun. And believe it or not, I was actually an "infrequent" poster compared to a lot of the others. They would sometimes get the posting statistics and there were usually 30 to 40 more people who posted more frequently than me.

I talked to my DW at tonight's baseball game about whether or not she'd rather cruise on the new ships or do the Wonder Panama Canal cruise, and no question, we would do the Panama Canal again in a heartbeat. We'll be watching for when it will start booking.'

Tami -- more on the Wonder Repo... I skimmed the meet thread and it appears that we won't know when it is, or prices, for at least 7 more months...:confused3]

I copied an itinerary from the original WB Repo cruise:

Saturday - Depart
Sunday - Castaway Cay
Monday - Day at sea
Tuesday - Day at Sea
Wednesday - Curacao (maybe Aruba instead as it was in 2008)
Thursday - Day at Sea
Friday - Panama Canal
Saturday - Day at Sea

Monday - Acapulco
Tuesday - Day at Sea
Wednesday - Mazatlan (or Puerto Vallarta as it was in 2008)
Thursday - Cabo San Lucas
Friday - Day at Sea
Saturday - Arrive at LA

Hope everyone is having a great Easter weekend!

It's been hectic around here -- 4 games today, and now have to run off to Sam's Club and tonight we'll color eggs. No rest this weekend.

Today's CC Picture -- perfect for Easter weekend since we don't really have any flowers in bloom here in Denver.

Happy Easter to the Double Dip Gang! :cool1:
Hope everyone is having a wonderful day today! Chris and I spent this weekend in Ocean City NJ at the beach. It was sunny but very windy! We walked on the boardwalk and ate at our favorite places. It was a great weekend. Tonight we are celebrating Chris birthday, which is tomorrow!

Have a wonderful day, everyone!

Okay....now that I've figured out the picture posting thing, I can post some CC pics of my own! I'm so happy!

Happy Easter everyone!

OC was gorgeous on Easter!! The boardwalk shops were all open, the kids were hunting for Easter eggs on the beach and we got to eat at Kessel's Korner! It finally opened for the season and we were SO excited!! We, too got our tickets at Gillian's, Castaway Cove & the Go-Karts under the boardwalk.

Thanks, Chris, for my Chris' birthday wishes!!

It's been very quiet here this past week. Hope everyone is well and taking advantage of the warmer days. We had two baseball games tonight.

It's finally getting nice here and although our grass isn't green yet, we do have some tulips blooming. The weather in Denver is generally much nicer than Kansas City (mild summers and winter and low humidity). However, I do miss springtime in KC as it's generally gets nicer sooner.

Tomorrow, I have jury duty for the first time in my life. I called tonight and sure enough, my number was called so I'll see how it goes tomorrow.

Hello Fellow Double Dippers! :goodvibes

we are on Spring Break this week! Went to my Mom's in Cleveland on Friday and came home Sunday. Monday was wash day and taking care of a sick dog and a sick kid! Kozmo was sick all weekend while i was away...carpets need tending to....and then Connor threw up on Monday morning! Good thing we were home! Yesterday was 2 Dr's appts and then I took our 14 yo son Colton to get his ear pierced. He is on cloud 9 and thinks he's hot stuff. I have heard all the arguements about letting him get it done, and honestly, we really don't see this as a big deal. We've had the discussion about no cartilage piercings, tongue piercings and NO tongue splitting! ACK! No tattoos either. However, once he's on his own, post college graduation, THEN he can do as he pleases. We've laid the ground rules, let's see what happens. I really don't think he's into all that though, I think he just wanted to have this done. In all honesty, I think it looks good!

Today I am enlisting the help of the boys to get this house in tip-top shape and then tomorrow we'll do yard work. Grass needs cut again and we have 50 bags of mulch, that we got on sale last weekend, to spread. It's another rainy day today and it's suppose to clear by tomorrow.

A belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Chris!! Sounds like you had a wonderful trip to the shore!!

Tami, thanks again for all you have done to create our logo! It's awesome!

Still lovin' the CC day photos! I'll have to search through ours and see what we have!

Make It Magical!! :wizard:

What an update! I have to admit that I'm not sure that I'd take the news that my oldest wanted an earring so well. However, I would much rather have him do a piercing than a tattoo. So far, he hasn't shown any interest in the latest "fashions". I know it's coming quickly though -- he turns 14 this June.

Mowing your grass twice already this season! I'm so jealous. Ours is still winter brown mixed in with a sprinkling of green. It'll be a good month before I mow for the first time this season.

Well, off to jury duty this morning. Here's today's CC picture. A very sad sight indeed for this tax day.

Keep the photos coming. Just love seeing what I'm going to be seeing! I cant believe how excited I am about this trip. My husband is getting into it too. I get all emotional everytime I log on to see the new posts. Maybe it's excitement maybe it's the hormones acting up.

I have no problem with your son getting an earring. My husbands sons are all tattooed & pierced (eyebrows, tongue and ears) so just an earring is nothing compared to what we've been through. Of course his boys are men (33, 35 and 43). Dont mind small tatoos, have one myself, it's when they do their whole arms and backs that it gets ugly!!

Here's one of my most favorite CC pictures. Thanks to KSDisneyDad for the photo-post-coaching.

As I mentioned about spring in Colorado -- tomorrow could be interesting. The news is saying that the temperatures will hover in the low 30's and a difference of 2 degrees will mean either rain or up to 20 inches of wet heavy snow for Denver! :scared1: Keeping my fingers crossed for rain!

Well, I'm off to jury duty for the second day.

Christopher,
How is jury duty going?
I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that you don't get snow!

We are having lovely weather here in Pennsylvania! It is sunny, the birds are chirping, the leaves are growing on the trees and Saturday it is going to be 74 degrees!! We are going to the Phillies game on Sat and it will be a nice night to watch the World Series Champions play under the lights!!! :cool1:
