5/30/2010-5 Night Disney Wonder Memorial Day Double Dip! Roster-Post 626 on page 42

HI everyone!!! These photos of CC are making me long to be there!! I was thinking of it yesterday as the snow was falling, again!!

I quit my babysitting job last week! I did for many reasons...one was she had laid me off for 3 weeks and her Mom was keeping the kids...I wasn't sure if I was being pushed out or not, but after 3 weeks of being here for my kids and being able to spend time volunteering at school, I called and quit! It wasn't without a lot of soul searching. I do miss those babies dearly, but this is better for me and my boys. Although, I do miss the paychecks, as little as they may have been. I applied today to work for the census, so we'll see if they call me on that, and I called back to the preschool where I did subbing, so I hope to hear from them for some part time stuff! Both of these are part time, so I can still be at the school when they need me or at the track for practices or at the football field or at the band practice! They do keep me hopping!

I'll have to look through my CC photos and see what I have to share!

Can't WAIT to be on the cruise!!
Whatever you do...
Make It Magical!! :wizard:

I hope it works out for you. We also find it important to have June stay home for the boys to help out at their school, etc.

Last night, we had a reminder that winter's not over with a dusting of snow as well and the temperatures were very cold. Even though tomorrow's going to be in the 60's, I'm looking forward to seeing some green as in foliage. It is too brown here.

Here's today's CC pic. This is approaching the pier in the morning.

Love the Castaway key pics......looks so nice!!!!!!

We're loving the Castaway Cay pics. It will be our first time there. :) :cheer2:

Thanks! Castaway Cay is still our favorite port (even though I'd love to go through the Panama Canal again).

I've got a little over two months if I post a picture a day (Honestly, I have over a year's worth, but I tried to narrow it down to avoid a lot of repeats). I thought it'd be fun to go in a chronological order.

Here's today's picture. Gotta have a nice hearty breakfast before a hard day in the sun!! My favorite breakfast item -- DCL's Muesli!!!

Tramp & The Lady,
I see you are from Pittsburgh, what part?

We live in Greensburg !! Its a small world !!
We were on a Carnival cruise a few years ago and got on the elevator and there stood a man with a Duquesne ring on. I am an alumni, and they are unmistakable to spot.

Here is my favorite pic from our fabulous October 2008 cruise:

Our favorite place, Serenity Bay. Pure paradise!! :lovestruc

Hope all of our cruisers are doing well.
DH and I got back last week from a fabulous trip to WDW. We went for my birthday and stayed at The Wilderness Lodge. We had a great time and I can't wait to start planning again.

Anyone else ready for spring?

Good Morning Ya'll!!

Dogs got me up a half hour early!! UGH! I am a sleeper, so I am none too happy about this!!! I'll have to check with Steve and find out when they were out last! Not late enough, I am guessing!!

Anyway, we got a shot of winter yesterday!! Saturday night we got home about 730 and it was 55, the dog was barking at 10, and it was a blizzard! The final accumalation was just about 2 inches, but it was off and on showers all day! Pretty, but I still want the SUN and SAND!

Keep posting the photos!! I am longing to be there!!! Can't wait!

Off to get the boys ready for school!

Here in Louisiana, we're in full spring swing! While it's still getting down into the 30s sometimes at night, the sunny days in the 50s, 60s, and 70s (we did have 83 degrees one day last week) are making all the trees and flowers bloom like crazy. We've got daffodils all over our yard! The trees are starting to get that wonderful pale green lacy look that means leaves are only a couple of weeks away. I'm a runner and making myself get out of bed every morning at 4:40 to go out in the freezing cold darkness all winter long has been getting harder and harder (maybe because I'm getting old?)...finally I can tell the days are getting longer and warmer weather is on the way.

LOVE the CC pics. I'd love to post my favorites if I can figure out how.

Happy Monday....everyone have a great week!

Lisa

3 of the 4boons just booked for the Castaway Cay double dip

DW Laura
DH Bill
DD Katie (16 years 4 days at time of sailing)

:welcome: As you had mentioned, you were on the Panama Canal cruise too!! 5 days is a lot shorter than 15, but we're still looking forward to our first trip on the Wonder! This past weekend, our oldest said he would rather cruise than go to WDW.

Hope all of our cruisers are doing well.

I have 3 coworkers visiting WDW this spring. For one, it is their first time and they're staying at the WL as well. I hope they have a great time. I'm a little nervous for them as it's their first trip and they are doing it over spring break.

Great picture of Serenity Bay. We only got to visit there briefly on our first trip to Castaway Cay. With three boys, it's hard to get away. However, with two stops and my parents with us, we hope to escape for a while next year!!

I'd love to see green. It's still brown, dusty and dry here in Denver. It's in the 60's all week this week, but we had the driest February in recorded history. We did water the lawn this weekend, but it probably won't make any difference. Generally, spring does bring rain to Denver. I'd love a nice rainy day.

Agreed....we'll probably get our last snow sometime in late April/early May. I'm looking forward to our WDW trip this summer. Palm trees and sun!!

Hi! We just got back from our first cruise! Loved it and counting the days till we go back. Just didn't think 4 days would be long enough so looking forward to the 5 day.

:welcome: Yes, we were hoping for a 7 day cruise next summer, but unfortunately the Magic is over in the Med and Baltic and that's out of our price range for 5 of us. I think we'd go crazy if we departed one of the ships and didn't have our next cruise booked. It's too addictive.

From which ship did you just depart? Magic or Wonder?

I have added your DIS name to the first page of this thread. If you'd like me to add your names and the ages of your kids when we sail, just post or send me a private message. I noticed in your signature that you have a 6 year old. Our youngest is turning 7 this weekend!

It is a small world! haha We actually just moved to West Mifflin from the city of Pittsburgh. Rita and I were both living there while we were in college at Pitt. I'm a mechanical engineer and Rita is a nurse at UPMC presbyterian. Glad to meet you!!

:thumbsup2

Thanks for the add. We just got back from a 4 day on the Wonder. My kids will be 10, 8, and 5 when we sail. Happy Birthday to your youngest. My 6 yr old will turn 7 in May.

I've updated your kids ages. Sounds like our boys are close to the same age.

Welcome - our DD will also be 10 at the time of sailing. She has been asking me about once a week if any other DD10's have signed up. I'm so glad that I can finally tell her yes - she will be so excited! She still exchanges short emails with a friend from our cruise last year.
