Wow, we have quite a big group from these boards!!! This cruise is going to be a blast!! :boat: :beach: :jumping1:

BTW, I'm Kim, the DW and hubby Chris. No kids, so we'll be the ones at the adult pool with the strawberry daiquiri's in hand.

A shot I took of the Magic from Castaway Cay.

Save a seat for us!! :yay:
We love the adult sections of the ship, esp the pool and Serenity Bay! Top it off with a nice drink and we think we died and went to heaven!

Yes, just because we have kids doesn't mean that we won't be spending time by the adult pool. Can you say BBC? We'll also enjoy a trip or two to Cove Cafe. The only adult area that's been difficult for us to enjoy is Serenity Bay. We just don't have the heart to leave the kids in their clubs on Castaway Cay day.

I hope the DIS list keeps getting larger! We still talk to several people from our last cruise. My sons play games online with a friend from the cruise and also call him about once a month. This week, my DW was at a concert and saw two other families from the Panama Canal cruise at the concert. Planning the trips and getting to know others makes these cruises more fun.

Great picture!! I'm glad to see that you were able to figure it out. I was going to ask if that picture was taken on 8/31/08, but with the number of trips you've made to Castaway Cay, it could have been any of several days.

I see that you were on a DCL promotional DVD. They filmed one on our first DCL trip and even interviewed the kids, but it didn't make the final cut.

Here's my daily CC picture:

Yes. The shot of the Magic was taken on 8-31-08 from next to She Sells Sea Shells.

On our 1st DCL cruise in 1999 DD (Katie) was so excited in Animator's Palate that everyone was watching her reactions when the pictures changed. After dinner a lady came up and asked us if we would go to a shoot the next day. We did but our 2 DDs didn't make the cut. Katie wasn't as animated in front of a camera with nothing to interact with.

It is fun to see people from past cruises.

Beside cruising with KSDisney Dad in Aug, 2008, we cruised with Green Acres on the New Years 2007 cruise. And on the June 8, 2010 5-night Key West cruise we will be joining another family we met on the same 2007 crusie that we met Green Acres.

Christopher,
You probably remember that as the Magic was going through one of the last locks on the Panama Canal, a lightning storm started. You will like this picture I shot across the container ship in the lock next to us.

Great picture. We experienced the last two locks of the day on Deck 4 and Deck 3 during the lightning part of the storm. We were wearing sweatshirts as we were freezing from standing out in the rain for about an hour going through Gatun Lake. That was an incredible rain storm. Deck 3 was fun as we sat in the large windows next to Sessions (I think it would be Cadillac Lounge on the Wonder). Those large windows were great places to sit and watch the ship keep going down into the lock until we saw nothing but the lock wall itself just inches from the ship. That day happened to be my wife's birthday -- don't think we can top that birthday experience!

Here's a similar view as yours, but from a little lower on the ship and without the lightning.

Today's CC picture. You can tell the kids are excited for this port. My wife walked behind us to get this picture. They didn't want to wait for the tram. That's my two youngest boys just under the sign. Both are wearing bright blue rashguards and one is wearing bright orange swim trunks. My oldest son and I are on the bridge just behind them wearing black rashguards and green trunks.

Great pics...love the starfish. From your pictures, the snorkeling at Serenity Bay is better than the snorkeling lagoon where the water was not that clear and we didn't find many fish.

On our last trip to CC, the older boys went snorkeling with me. We did find Minnie and got a picture of her. Fortunately, we had already found Minnie as another snorkeler came up to us and asked if we had seen the barracuda yet. Needless to say, that was the end of my CC snorkeling with the kids!

Snorkeling at Serenity Bay is awesome! The water is SO clear!! There is one area in particular that alot of the fish gather around. Its out a bit and everyone pretty much snorkels around it-I think its a sunken engine but I'm not 100% on that. Anyway, there is something out there that attracts all of the fish and it is magnificent!!
I snorkeled there all day long-I was sad when I had to leave.

**There are not nets on SB so always be careful. I never went out alone. DH and I became friends with 2 ladies I had met on our October DIS Cruise Meet board and I ended up snorkeling with them all day.

One thing I can say for sure about Serenity Bay is:

BRING WATER SHOES

Yes, I agree that they are not the most attractive thing to wear on the beach, however, they will save you and your feet from SEA URCHINS :scared1:

Holy cow, when we were there in October, there were tons of them all around. We all had either our snorkeling fins on or our water shoes and they were a lifesaver! Plus, SB can be rocky at certain points as well.

Just my tip for the day!
Carry on with the CC pics of the day! :goodvibes
