Good Morning All...Seems like we have a little

among us. I love Christmas, MERRY - MERRY - MERRY......

We too had the struggle with the lights - up, down, up, down. Think of it as free time without the gym. Our tree debate was settled. Sam selected the tree and chopped off the top. It now fits in the house...We went to the post office yesterday so we would not have to go today. Postage meter worked but the drop box was shut. Sam has to go back tday.

I hope they can come up with an alternative to assist her at this point since the surgery was not successful.

They did something (don't know exactly what) in hopes that it would drain some, but last I heard, it wasn't.

We are cold and ice covered here in Chicagoland. Hopefully the salt Mark just put down will work before we have to leave and that will also give time for the street crews to come out and salt. Nothing like what Matt is facing however!

A couple of years ago, I bought my Dad some spray stuff, and of course now I don't remember the name of it...but maybe you or Mark have seen it. You spray it on the walks or driveway before it snows, and it is supposed to work at keeping the ice off in the first place. Dad didn't use it on the whole driveway, but he did put it on the steps and walkway for the mailman, and it worked!!

We just watched the Survivor finale today.

First we had to watch last Thursday's episode.

Then, for some reason (OT football game?) it did not tape the part where the jury gets to question the final 3, or the final results, or the reunion show.

So we invested an entire season, and then had to check online to see who won!

I'm glad he won. Can't believe Susie got even a single vote. She was coat-tails all the way. Sugar at least strategized and turned the game several times.

May have to go and see if I can watch the jury questions online.

Or I could get busy packing warm clothes for my impending trip to Ohio.

Corrine was vicious-mean to Sugar. She told her she should take antidepressants so that "at least when you cry about your dead father, it will be real tears" OUCH.
I (and even Jeff & others) thought that was the worst thing anyone has ever said to another contestant.

Jay was called for jury duty again...he has to go in January. The last time, he served on the Grand Jury and was excused from duty for a couple of years after. He thinks they have his name flagged down there. But he's one of the few who actually likes to go, and finds it interesting. But then, being on the Grand Jury probably would be...but it was a lot of long days.

No snow anywhere around that I can see....just rain and fog. When the fog lifts, I'll be able to see if we got snow on the mountains.
Boy, if there WAS snow in Phoenix, it must have melted when it hit ground. We're colder than Phoenix, and we don't have any.

PPD to Stephanie too. Kiki, glad to hear your Mom had a good day, hope it continues.

My Dad was very surprised, but no heart palpitations thank goodness. He wanted to show us all over Laughlin Saturday night, with my brother driving us around. We finally had to claim night blindness and exhaustion. Dad forgets that WE aren't kids anymore.

Came back to a snowstorm, after flight delays both ways. Schools are closed today which is not good since finals are this week.

I also came back to computer problems. Can't get my desktop to connect to the internet so I'm on the laptop. But all my work stuff is on the desktop, pictures etc. So I will spend today trying to contact Dell.

I enjoyed this season of Survivor, Sugar really made it interesting. I was disappointed she didn't win fan favorite. But then there are rumors that she may have been a bit of a plant. She's an actress, so it's possible. We may never find out for sure. I was rooting for Matty or Sugar to win, but Bob is OK too.
