Matt called last night. He passed his last FAA exam yesterday and leaves on Thursday for Grand Forks, ND.

And everything looks positive for him to be here over Christmas!

What a shock Grand Forks will be to his system!! I've always wondered who in their right mind would want to live in ND....at least now I know one.

I'm so glad it looks like he'll be joining you for Christmas!!!!!!!

We were chilly today but no frost.

Local divers have been diving with whale shark off of Palm Beach. Tempting to go this weekend, but cold!

I found another thing to blame on Jim.....several of my garden plants are gone - long since dead. See, I used to garden almost every weekend. Now we have been diving on the weekends leaving no time to garden. In south Florida this allows for vegetation to grow like the jungle. Apparently, some outgrew the others and I just discovered I have lost my firebush.

I went to the mall at lunch today. I went yesterday to look for some shirts for Emily and to look for a locking Camp Rock diary that Ashley wanted from The Disney Store. We saw that diary a few weeks ago when she was with me. It was on sale but I wouldn't let her buy it. When I went yesterday it was not on sale so I didn't buy it. I went back today because I got an email coupon from TDS for 25% off. Figured I'd go buy it. I hit the jackpot ... almost everything in the store was 50% off plus I was able to use my coupon on top of that! I got Ashley the diary plus a small Camp Rock messenger bag. I got Emily a High School Musical fashion design thing. And, I got my best friend a Cinderella glass slipper ornament (she's the one that got engaged in front of Cinderella at the castle). I got 4 things for just under $20. If I keep hitting deals like that, the kids may get everything they want for Christmas.

Well, I have the inside of the house decorated, need to get a tree so we can finish. I did as much outside as I can do by myself, have to wait till the men have time to do the rest of that.
We have a party tomorrow from noon on, and on Sunday Jared has a meeting in the middle of the day for his trip this summer. Doesn't look like we'll get the tree or the rest of the decorating done this weekend.

Going Monday to pick up Jay's new truck. It will be the first-ever new vehicle he has ever bought solely for himself. It has all the bells and whistles (not that he wanted all that!) and I told him he'd probably have to have Jared teach him how it all works.

All my shopping is done, just need to wrap and especially get the out-of-town items sent off. I have the pictures and letter ready for the Christmas cards, but haven't started those either. I am soooo far behind.

For a Florida kid, that has GOT to be so hard to get used to. Heck, even for me, it would be hard to get used to. And to have to be dropped in there smack dab in the middle of winter!!
