After the mall we went to the D day museum. It was great. Very well done.

Every single ornament carries memories with it. It's awesome.

A friend of mine was stressing the other day because she still didn't have a 'theme' for her tree this year (she has a different theme every year)... I told her that our theme is always the same... "Our life so far"... it changes just a little bit every year!

Mary, your tree sounds a lot like ours. Not a single "plain ball ornament" on it. Every single ornament carries memories with it. It's awesome.

Good morning everyone! I might not be around for a few days. Headed up to Minnesota for some training for work. I'm bringing my PDA so if I can get wi-fi access I might be one but not posting much (how you guys do it from your I-phones amazes me).

Thanksgiving photos - Some things never change as they get older - get the pictures at the beginning of the gathering All before lacrosse and/or a marathon Wii session with the cousins.

Christmas shopping is all finished - I love on-line shopping! John needs to order one more thing for Mike - and then we're all done. I hate to shop any other time of the year, now is even worse!

The kids finished the tree yesterday. John was happy he could sit back and relax. Mike is tall enough to reach the top of the tree this year, so, John wasn't needed to place the higher ornaments.

We don't have a theme, we have lots of themes.... Campbell Soup, Hersheys, Disney, trains, barbie, Dr. Suess, homemade school ornaments and yes, even the ones that John and I made in elementary school still have their place on our tree. Disney, Hersheys, and Campbell Soup ornaments make up the bulk of the ornaments. My mom has been collecting the Hersheys and Campbell's ornaments since the beginning of their proof-of purchase redemption.

John took the kids' Christmas card photo today - now, all I have to do is print address labels and decide if I will write a Christmas letter. Do I really want to do it? Would anyone notice if I take this year off?

Safe travels Mary (even though I'm probably too late and you won't touch base anymore before you leave )- I don't envy you - Minnesota in the winter brrr...

Greetings all! Had a nice quiet flight up here and spent the afternoon shopping at the Mall of America. Then came back to the hotel, a quick dip in the hot tub and now I'm in the business center for a quick catch up here. Then off to bed as training starts nice and early tomorrow morning.

We are back. 1600 miles in 5 days and we are still talking to each other. It was a great weekend.

Hi all - we're back from seeing Stacey, Jay and Jared in Vegas. We had a wonderful trip. Lauren had front row seats to the Jonas Brothers concert and she "loved" LOVE at the Mirage. While we were in the USAirways club at the airport we ran into Demi Lovato (she opened for the Jonas Brothers) so she got to talk to her and get her picture taken. I hope that everybody had a wonderful Thanksgiving and holiday weekend.

Hello everyone - it seems like you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with various family and friends, some large, some small (gatherings that is, not the family and friends - even after turkey).

We enjoyed our holiday Sam brined a turkey and it was fabulous. A 20 pound bird for 3 people provides lots of meat for turkey sandwiches...yummy. Thursday was a family day, Sam and I and Mother (Hedgie too). After dinner we watched Mary Poppins until Sam crashed. He is in retail, he was up very early.

Shopping friday was limited to two stores - more out of tradition, than to save the economy. Mother is no longer up to the mall, so we hit a card store and book store, before turkey sandwiches.

Satuday we put up the outside lights - discovered we did not have enough working to make the ends meet - to the store....(note this theme, it will continue).

And we had to stop by the corner grill for game day (go Gators!)

Sunday I worked on Christmas gifts, packed up the Thanksgiving decorations and generally got ready for Christmas. The tree is outside in a bucket of water. Sam needs to cut a hole in the ceiling or a piece off the tree. We will see what wins.

We have so many Christmas memories, each one a treasure. Next weekend I will sit with the Christmas balls from years past, along with keepsakes from each vacation.

I am nearly done with shopping too, yay! I need to figure out something for my nephew (age 20) and my brother. I don't know which one is more difficult.

Jared and I bumped into two of the Jonas Brothers and some of their entourage in our elevator bay on Saturday. I thought Lauren was going to camp out there from then on. Wouldn't be the first time a DIS kid slept in the hall.

There was frost on the Jeep this morning when I got the newspaper

Matt called last night. He passed his last FAA exam yesterday and leaves on Thursday for Grand Forks, ND.

And everything looks positive for him to be here over Christmas!
