Mac n' cheese anyone?

Funny you should pick that food. When asked what his three favorite foods are, my ds replied:

#1 Stouffer's Mac 'n Cheese
#2 Velveeta Shells and Cheese
#3 Kraft Mac 'n Cheese

This feels like deja vu....we've had this conversation, haven't we?

Wait, wait... recipe of the day... DD's favorite... "MOM-A-RONI"...

1 box Velveeta Shells and Cheese, prepared
1 can Campbells Tomato Soup, undiluted
1/2 lb ground hamburger

Brown hamburger, add soup til heated, mix with prepared mac & cheese, watch kids devour. Definitely not 'haute cuisine', but its quick on nights that practice starts at 6PM!!!!!

My kids would consider that a total waste of a good box of mac 'n cheese.
I talked to another mom who said from the time her kids ate real food, she always added a cup of mixed vegies to their mac 'n cheese....now they eat mixed vegies without even thinking twice!! :sunny:

That sounds like a casserole my dad would make for us ... elbow macaroni, ketchup, ground meat, peas, & cheese. It was all layered although I can't remember the order any more. :scratchin

We'd have ground meat, onions, tomato soup....mix with elbow macaroni....top with a velveeta slice ....mmmmmm

beef-a-roni....another thing my kids hate! :confused3

Guess my kids aren't "normal". ;) They devour brocolli - pretty good considering they're 4 & 2. Emily even requests brocolli soup.

A TOP shared with ohiominnie!!!

You mena someone is going to pay that much for a 30 year old house with mold??????????

Give them "dip" (aka, ranch dressing or ketchup) and they'll pretty much eat anything. The brocolli they'll eat with with nothing on it. I credit day care for that one! :cool1:

My kids, even picky picky picky DS, LOVE broccoli!!! Don't know why, don't care why, but they love it! I could make broccoli 7 nights a week, and he'd eat it... besides steamed broccoli, about the only other vegetable he'll eat is raw carrots.

My Mom always complains when I give him raw carrots... she says, "If MY mom gave ME raw carrots, I'd think she didn't love me"... hey... whatever he'll eat that's healthy is fine with me!!!

Hello All. Happy Tuesday. Nothing exciting happening today. Have to go out for the band boosters meeting tonight (so exciting). Oh well, everyone have a great rest of the week.

I drop in to say hello, and you all are talking about mold and mac 'n cheese......reminds me of when I first started reading the 10 night thread! I was corn-fused!!

More :umbrella: :umbrella: rain now, and more to come. Thinking quite seriously about building :boat: :boat: an ark!!

Everyone have a great day tomorrow......

I had to take Matt to a city counsel meeting last night as part of a school project.

On the adjenda were several requests for special events for our upcoming bike week.

One included Popcorn Wrestling. I wonder if they use buttered or unbuttered popcorn. :earseek:

I just saw on our local news that a 21 yr. old pregnant girl from the ATL metro area auctioned off space on her belly. The winning bid was for $8800 from a casino. She placed a temporary tatoo on her belly & is headed down to Daytona for bike week.

What are some people thinking??? :confused3 Although that $8800 surely would help with all of those baby expenses. But something tells me that this girl won't be spending that money on the baby.
