When did the airport Hyatt become so expensive? Stayed there for $138 a night back in Sept of 2003. Mike just tried to get me a room for when I come down later this month and it's $222!!! And that is AFTER the AAA discount!

Yeowzer!! With our flight being so late (getting in after 11pm) I don't want to be schleping around town in a taxi with two little kids!

Priceline works great for a hotel room! I just used in for our last cruise in NOv and I got the airport wingate which was a very nice property, for like $50 a night or so. Even had free continental breakfast in the am, which included pancakes and waffles!

Woo Hoo....Mary beat me this morning!!! The first time in a long time. What a great way to start a weekend.

We have never stayed near the airport, no reason to. But I do know there are several just north of the airport, including a Marriott, that run shuttles. You should not have to mess with a cab, just get a hotel that runs a shuttle.

Actually, what is wrong with Mike. Does he not think his wife and children are worth $222 for safety and security? To avoid having his family going through the crime ridden streets of Orlando and knowing his family is safe should be worth everything to him (how is that for stirring the pot)

OHHH I just noticed your countdown and cant believe the 1st repo cruise is ONLY 82 days away!!!! Are you getting excited? Are Misty and Dom going as well???? Oh I am sooo jealous, I would love to go!!!I would have had to eat up the whole years worth of vacation just to be able to take the time off, then it would have been like $10 G's for the whole family to go, and I just couldnt do it! But that dont mean I cant be jealous! HEHEHE Actually, I changed my mind, is it too late to add me to your ressie and room???? ( Like how I just invited myself?)
Maybe one day, I will be able to do a back to back cruise and be able do my "repo" cruise! LOL

Morning All - quick dis fix in between dd & ds b-ball games...Ohiominnie, try Hawthorne Suites - it has a shuttle to/from airport and a decent breakfast buffet...I can't remember how much we paid last year for the night...Our flight was delayed and arrived really late - no problems getting a quick shuttle over to the hotel. It was very convienent.

I sent in a quote request with micdan and never heard back from them. I received two other quotes which were exactly the same except DU is offering a $100 instant rebate, so that is who I went with. I definitely figured out fast not to book with DCL as everyone else was cheaper..

Now I've got lots of waiting!

RACs DD and my DD have been trying to get a pen pal friendship going, I have not been quite as on top of that as I should have been, but vow to try harder. I think my DD would love to have 2 more penpals, and twins no less!
