We are pulling weeds this morning at our house.

How do we pull weeds in the south?

It's better than shoveling snow, but not as much fun as diving!!

See now that is just plain mean. Here we are with snow on the ground and temperatures in the single digits and you show a picture of Matt in shorts!:cool1:

Didn't even think of that.

It just happened to be a really great day outside. Not to warm, not to cold. Perfect day to pull weeds.

Now we have to figure out what to do in place of all the plants.

Just a little green with envy - looks like a great day down there!

It's been beautiful here today!!! Rain was forecasted, but I guess they lied!!! (How's that for a job...)

I spent all day inside, at HardRock Live for the NCA National Championship... glad that day is done. (Til next week's competition.) Wish we had time to actually SPEND at Universal today instead of just tromping through with 20 cheerleaders in tow- the weather was PERFECT!

Elizabeth's squad took :cheer2: 1st place :cheer2: in the rec division! (Sounds great til you realize how few (and I do mean FEW) teams were in the division- but hey, a first is a first- kinda like a TOP- you take them any way you can get them!!)

Jim, I assume that pic is from the set that gave Sharon fits. Matt was with you on that dive, right? I may have to rethink our next trip...:scared1:

Yes, this is the dive they didn't "explain" to me until it was over with and I couldn't do anything about it. I trust they will be more "careful" with your daughter. I think Kevin knows your "rules" about Alicia's diving and I am sure he will not disappoint you by putting her in harms way. :sunny:

Man oh man, does this ever put me to shame! Yes dear I hear you loud and clear. ;)

I hate to say this (he's not here to defend himself), but Kevin is a GUY. He might succumb to peer pressure. And you know how persuasive Jim can be. I know there are sharks off the FL coast, but you won't go looking for them, will you? If anyone could attract sharks, it would be my kid. You should see what happens when there are any mosquitoes around.

I've got three girls here tonight. Alicia's partners for her lyrical trio are spending the night, we are going to watch a comp here tomorrow that they didn't enter. Checking out the competition for the next one! Three gifted girls, the other two are perfectionists (mine missed that trait). One girl is alphabetizing Alicia's bookshelf, the other is doing her Math homework. Life is good.

A very quick hello to say I made it to Omaha, and have not frozen yet. It's really not that bad (the temperature).

Mom is home now and much happier here than in the rehab...can't say as I blame her, it was a depressing place.
She did well today but woke up tonight with some muscle spasms....we got her comfy again and I think she's asleep.
Which is where I'm going.
Hope all is well with everyone, I didn't do any "catch up" reading yet.
TTYL,
Stacey

When you are done with the girls would you please send them this way. Matt could use a little help and I'm sure the girls would be preferred over Sharon and I helping him.

Kevin is a guy, but when it comes to diving he won't break his rules. We all having diving rules, things and situations we won't put ourselves in. No other diver (a good buddy) would force anyone to break one of their rules.....so you can bet on Kevin not taking Alicia on a shark dive.

:flower1: Good morning cruisers!:flower1:

Happy Sunday! Hope everyone is having a great weekend. Kind of quiet on our end which is a good thing!

Have a great day everyone!

We have been awfully quiet this weekend. Is everyone okay? I am still battling this cold/flu. I have been taking ZICAM/Robitussin/Dayquil AND I am still leaking !!!! I hate it! I am still looking for suggestions on how to thank my neighbor for helping me out yesterday. Stacey, glad to see that you have made it to your mom's house safe and sound! I betcha it is very cold in Omaha???

Cajungirl, I assume by your silence that you are one of the many without power?? I hate that. My DH worked yesterday and is working today. (We both work for the local telephone company) I dread going into work tommorrow, as I work in the central office that houses the oldest cables in town, so I am SURE there will not be a lack of work for me tommorrow. SIGH
I havent even looked outside today to see if the ide has melted. I been lazy today, still in my PJS. I am overcompensating for having to wake up so early yesterday morning.
Well heres hoping that someone gets posting soon. It is too quite on our thread.

Hi Amanda! Sorry that you're not feeling well. Here's a little wish :wizard: for getting well soon.

We have power & never lost it. We decided to get out of the house today. Hit Burger King for lunch (indoor playground) then to Best Buy to go TV shopping. Everything is thawing fast now. I even saw blue skies a little while ago ... YEAH!

Amanda & Cajungirl... sorry your weather stinks so bad... it is the most beautiful day here today- about 75, not a cloud in the sky:sunny: . Have spent the entire day since church doing much-needed yardwork. Now I am sitting out by the pool, watching your weather on the Weather Channel... looks like its getting better for you, but the damage is already done.

Had dinner at my boss & his wife's house last night... 6 course Northern Italian feast... it was incredible!!! Didn't get home til 1AM, so I never got back on the boards, though it doesn't look like anyone else did, either! Hope everyone is healthy and posting again soon!

Right there is the down side of living in Florida...having to do yardwork year around.

We just finished with ours so the front of the house is bare. Not a bush, tree, plant....nothing.

Now I am looking for some advice. Has anyone had any experience with the new Silk/PCV outdoor plants that are UV resistant? We want to put something outfront, but it can not be anything that is living. I've been looking at outdoor silk plants. Any suggestions/ideas?

Yes, I am serious. I/we hate yard work. Would pave it all if I could.

We had a very similar discussion while standing in our front yard today... I want to rip out everything along my walk and put in stone... stone doesn't grow weeds. I can deal with trimming the palms and hibiscus, but weeding makes me crazy!!! I swear that Middleton plants weed-seeds in hopes that we'll sign up for their maintenance plan.
