Hey all. Thought I'd update you on Grandma Lightbulb's condition. She went to surgery today around 2:30. This evening we found out she does indeed have ovarian cancer. The doctor proceeded to take out lymph nodes and totally inspect all inside parts of her. Right now he says he feels very good that he got it all and that she will do very well. Of course, she will have to have scans of every part of her to make sure, but from the surgeon's POV, he seems very positive.

Mike has talked a couple of times with her dh and got the report that his mom is pretty groggy, in a lot of pain and not really communicating right now. I'm sure Mike will talk to her as soon as she is able.

Thanks for all of the thoughts and prayers. :)

May she have a full and speedy recovering, and the light :wizard: shine brightly for many more years!!

I'll check on it tomorrow, and let you know - I think he can order just about anything.

He got me hooked on McMannus lately... as good as Silver Oak, and about $115 less a bottle!!

OK, tell me more. I had a case of Silver Oak Cabernet waaaay back when. Early 80s maybe. I think Kevin helped me drink the last of it. Mmmm, mmm good.

Karen, I'm so sorry to hear that. I guess it's good, though, that the doctor is optimistic.

:flower1: Good morning cruisers!:flower1:

Happy Fat Tuesday!

Whew - finally have a day where I don't have to be at work by 7. Of course I'll get there about 7:15 or so but there is something about HAVING to be there. :flower:

Have a great day everyone!

I found one for the Shootout... not sure if that's the same on or not...

Karen - that's the one. Tori does a new one every week for that week's race. She also keeps track of eveyrone's points over the weeks so we have a winner at the end. I've never won a week (usually in the middle of the pack or down at the bottom) but have fun with it. Come and join us!

Karen - sounds like the doctor is very optomistic which is great. Still sending positive thoughts that all they find in the tests are happy, healthy cells.

Keeping all of you in our thoughts and prayers!

Karen & Jim - since you both like Nascar - have you ever checked out the weekly game on the Community Board? We pick who we think the top 5 are going to be. Points are awarded based on actual finish of those drivers. It is all for fun and bragging rights. You should check it out!

Actually, I have to admit that I am not much of a Nascar fan. I watch it and get involved with it while it is in Daytona Beach. It is hard not to when Speedweeks show up. After they leave, it kind of leaves my mind.

Good morning & HAPPY MARDI GRAS !!! :jester: Wish I was home celebrating with my family & friends. That's one thing that I miss about Louisiana. Hope everyone has a great Tuesday.

It's impossible to get away from it here! Everyone's a race fan for a few days a year.

Now me, on the other hand... I am a fanatic- to the point that I did my graduate school research on "The Effects of Corporate Sponsorship on the Purchasing Habits of NASCAR Fans."

Karen - then you should definately come over and play each week.

Jim - we know you get in trouble when you wander way from the cruise meets board so just stay here and talk diving with Kevin. :cool1:

Okay, I won't take my carafe and go and play in the community board.

I appreciate your watching out for me.

:cool1: I love all this Nascar talk. I'm originally from Martinsville, VA. It has the smallest Nascar track. I never been to Daytona, but maybe someday. Where is the community board? I'd like to pick the top 5.

I hoping this makes the top...if not...I'll have to write again!

Must try again for a top post...

:cold: :cold: :cold:

I liked this icon for the freezing rain from today. It's appropriate.
