WHAT? What are you talking about? Sure, I sent you a PM....

BUT....that was at 6:23pm (DIS time)

My Milestone post was at 6:42pm (DIS time)

You're blaming YOUR lack of getting a milestone on that? :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I think that now that ppl know the FACTS, instead of the "sensationalized version" they'll see things differently! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Wait - you were pm'ing her. I was pm'ing her. What you talking about? Was it me? :lmao:

Uh....buy a laptop with wi-fi and go to Starbucks??? :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I understand though...when my parents come down for a weekend the whole routine changes. I feel like I have to entertain them the entire time and sit and talk or play games. When sometimes what we all need to do is just go to our own rooms and stare at a screen. :)

EEEK!!! I've got both the IL and my parents are coming in town for John's graduation this weekend. The ILs are arriving tomorrow - they're staying with another relative and my parents arrive Thursday...tons to do tons to do...when I'd much rather DIS...

We're towards the end of season 3. I bought a set, now we can watch it at our leisure. It's tough, because we all like it, so we all three have to be here when we watch it!

Recently we started watching Firefly from Netflix. It's also a Josh Whedon show, kind of a cowboy science fiction show, you would love it! It was only on for one season though.

LOVE BUFFY!! Love Angel too, and Firefly was very well done. I am sure you have seen the Serenity movie?

I am wi-fied, but there are no Starbucks here (though there is a sign up that one is coming. :thumbsup2 ) AND I have 3 young-uns. I think that I am going to start having LOTS of meetings after-school! :lmao:

WOW! Another UTOP with my PILS! Hmmm. :sunny:

OK I need yall help with a song again please....
Back wehn I was in my country phase...about 92 or 93..it was sung by a female and it was all about losing people in life....the virst verse was how she looked out the station wagon to see her best friend Janie getting furhter and further away...next verse was I think lwaving home...next verse was about finding out her hubby cheated on her...and next verse was eventually about her mom dying...the chorus was always about the adive her mom would give her everytime she lost someone...anyone??? I used to love this song and I cant remember who sang it or the title....please?

"How can I help you say goodbye" by Patty Loveless :thumbsup2

(I listen to ALL kinds of music!)

Hi, all! Sorry I've been so quiet today. Busy day at work, busy making door signs at home. Just managed to sit down for the last few minutes of AI, and now I'm going to enjoy House before making it an early night.

Speaking of door signs, I'm on a roll. I'm thinking about re-doing ours now that my creative juices are flowing. Who knows...?

So, have a good night, everyone! I'll try to be more chatty tomorrow.

My thinking on the booklets and I could be totally wrong on this is that those who checked in online a while ago (before the booklets were printed - not mailed) did not get the booklet. But those of us who booked online in say the last week or so (after the booklets were printed) did get one.

Make sense to anyone?

I checked in on-line last year already and got the book :confused3

Strange the power of music! I could not remember a single lyric aside from I mentioned in my OP but now that I got the song from ITUNES I am remembereing every single word!!!!!!!!!!!!

Got home late, DD had her dress rehearsal for jazz and her pictures etc, made a quick dinner for the kids and just finished HW with DS and sent him to bed!!

I am exhausted too but had to catch up here so another evening gone in our countdown with me doing nothing.

I am the same way; at church when we are saying the creed, I kinda stumble along unless we are singing it, and then I know every word without a hitch!

I teach to music a lot of times, but I fully believe that rhythm/music make things stick better in the brain. All my students have to hear is dum, dah, dum, dum, and they can remember the endings to their verbs. Well, most can. :goodvibes

Hmm, that sounds like every evening of mine after getting home with the kids. :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao:

I guess I will just run around like a chicken with its head cut off the last 4 days before we leave for the cruise. I can't pre-pack the suitcases because we are wearing those clothes right now. I know that I will be leaving lots of things home this time. I can't even think of what to pack! ACKK!

Wow. Quiet evening....

Guess everyone was watching AI....

Here's my impressions of it...whited out so Sandi doesn't see if she doesn't want to...

I think Taylor did an EXCELLENT job on both songs.

Chris...I liked him more this week. I think he has a great voice, but could never connect with the SONGS he sang. This week he was singing good songs.

Elliot...amazing voice. His one song started a bit rocky, but I think he pulled it out. He rose to the occasion.

Katharine, IMHO, was a screechy mess. Especially when she took that last, tender song, and belted it out with way too much force.

I also must comment on the judges. I watched Paula dancing around like a maniac during the upbeat songs....and then giving lame advice. But Simon sat and truly LISTENED the whole time. I think that is why he is able to give a more honest critique of the singers....he's paying attention. Paula treats this like a concert she's at.

About 25 pages on the other thread, guess I will give it a miss and go to bed instead. :teeth:

You keep referring to this "other thread." What other thread? The DIS has other threads???? :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Thanks for the AI update. I had to miss it, and none of my friends watch so I never know anything if I miss! I agree with your judges' report. On the money.
