Been there, done that! Kevin has three first names "Charles Kevin Eddy". Confuses the heck out of people. Did not realize until a day or two before a Celebrity cruise we took a couple of years ago that his docs said "Kevin Charles". Who's that?

Wow, three first names??!!

And to think, I thought our biggest problem would be to explain that we spell Domenic's name with and "e" not and "i"!!!

The Army decided that my FIL needed a middle name, so they have officially dubbed him, Mario "NMI" .... stands for no middle name! :lmao:

My thinking on the booklets and I could be totally wrong on this is that those who checked in online a while ago (before the booklets were printed - not mailed) did not get the booklet. But those of us who booked online in say the last week or so (after the booklets were printed) did get one.

Make sense to anyone?

Well, here's my experience, which lines up with Mary's theory....

I checked in online a couple of days ago (just before getting my docs) and I got the full book.

I intend to take it to one of the printing places, like Office Club or Staples and have them print and bind it.

That is a good idea. How long did it take for them to ship the cd rom to you?

Yes, I agree about one brand SLR in the family as the lenses add a bit to the whole kit and kaboodle.
I'm glad to hear you like the D50 as not too many on the photo board post about it.

As I mentioned earlier, I am new, new, new to the SLR way of taking pictures. I don't want to keep it on AUTO the whole cruise!

It sounds like we have a few "pros" so I hope you all don't mind teaching me! :teeth:

Thanks.
susan

Just be really really careful. Our battery in our point and shoot camera died JUST as KT was getting her first weight after being born. Dead camera, new baby. We borrowed MIL's camera which had AUTO, but also "settings" to play with. Well, hand something to a man that has "settings" to play with, and they will.....

so a good number--errr MOST---of KT's hospital pictures are blurry b/c the settings were NOT right. Oops.

I have the (now don't laugh!) DSLR book of Photography for Dummies! :goodvibes
Or something like that.

We have 101 Essential Tips Photography and How to Do Everything with Digital Photography.

Cannot personally recommend either one as I've not read them, and really not seen Mike delve into them too much. We mostly use "auto" :)

We deal with that here too. I'll be on the phone and someone will ask for my last name ---"Patrick." "uh, no, ma'am, your LAST name." "yeah, like my mom NAMED me Patrick!!"

On the last cruise we celebrated Nick's birthday and somehow they got the song wrong. Everyone sang "happy birthday, dear Patrick." We kinda chuckled. Well, from then on, the head server (John from Scotland) and the server (Joyce from ??) called him "Patrick." "Patrick, here are the berries you ordered."

Btw, Joyce was WONDERFUL....but she goes home the day we get on board. I tried to convince her to stay, but she has two little girls at home (under the age of 4 I believe) and she wanted to go home. :)

caught up and found a U TOP! Shared with Diana and my servers!

Curious...my documents did not have anything that listed ports/times or anything like that. I got the lime green luggage tags, white boarding passes/tickets, Bahamas forms, a little 1-page checklist, and a letter that told me to take all of the forms I printed when checked in on-line. No little booklet. Are there others out there who are also missing the booklet?

Paul

Got mine today --- page 4 has a "sailing itinerary"

And I have a checklist and a folder with the Bahamiam form in it.

Send it to Karen - she's got a binding machine :)

LOVE to bind it. It's the printing part I don't want to do!!

New Mexico - 1 day
Texas - 1-2 days
Arizona - 2 days
Nevada - 3 days
Georgia - 3 days
Miss./Alabama - 3 -4 days
Florida/New York - 5-6 days

Not sure if that starts when Fed ex picks up later today or if it starts tomorrow.

We only have one order that has not shipped (JULETIME). If you see this, please email me.

ACK, no schedule for OHIO! I'll just assume I'm with the FL/NY ppl. :)

Haven't seen Juletime around here in a coon's age. Wonder what's up with her.

HA HA!! :lmao:

I was not given a middle name at birth (I was the 4th kid...apparently 7 names were the all my parents could come up with!!) In 3rd grade I got grief b/c during "make fun of your classmate's middle name" month, I didn't have a middle name......so everyone ASSUMED I had a HORRIBLE middle name that I just wouldn't TELL!!!

I think most counselling sessions with psychiatrists could be avoided if a child could skip 3rd grade!! :)

Pam - so where does IL fall into this. Also will you have tracking numbers for us so that we can track our own.

Thanks!

Mary -- sorry, I forgot the midwest. I was trying to think of all the specific states she mentioned, and forgot about the midwest. Yours should be 3-4 days in the midwest. That includes Ohio, not sure about Pennsylvania??

We have done Disney Paris twice and DisneyWorld several times and have DisneyLand season passes!
How formal is the formal night? I have to start packing today!

Go with the flow...we love formal night and have the clothes to weat so we will be dressed to the hilt.....so join us if you like....On the other hand if you wish to wear a nice outfit and DH a suit, you will be in good company. I have decided to leave the tiara at home... :teeth:

I agree with this Mary. I didn't do our online check-in until late April. I was waiting on our passports before I filled it out. So I probably didn't fill ours out until after they were printed.

Valerie has the tracking numbers, but I dont have them yet. She was pretty harried trying to get this order out and she has huge order from the Army that she is working on. I will try to get them tomorrow.

I did my online check-in several weeks ago, and I got the condensed version, also.

I ordered in on Friday, got the confirmation that he would ship on Monday (yesterday). Don't know where the guy is located, so your guess is as good as mine. Have heard great things about it prior to John recommendation, but after what John said, I ordered it. You better get cracking, we don't have much time.....
