HEY...tech question....The TREO isn't getting an internet connection. I am thinking that I haven't done a "sync" on it since I bought this new computer.....is that most likely what the problem is???

Hm.. how was it getting an internet connection at home before, thru home wi-fi? Might be the new machine took over it's 'spot' on the router?

It's funny....the message it gives me now, when I try to log on here or get my e-mail...whether I am at home, or at the office, whatever..is...
"Unable to get a dial-up connection" or some such message.

I know that in order to get online with it in the first place, I had to synchronize it with my home computer. After that, I got "connected" through Verizon...I'd turn on the (Treo) phone, then just click on AOL connect...and it would be just like the computer...Searching for Service...etc. I DO have a WiFi cradle, but have never needed it.
So I guess I am to assume that I was getting dial-up connection all along?? But it seemed so fast...especially for dial-up.


I guess I will run the sync again tomorrow, and see if that does it. Otherwise, I'll make a visit to my local Verizon guy.

Just be happy your school allows swimming. Our school district does not. No swimming activities. No pools, no teams, no parties. I learned this when Matt tried to do a project on scuba.

The High School swim team trains at the local YMCA. In fact, one of the Olympic swimmers in Athens is from Port Orange FL (Ryan Lochte), but no pools in the schools.

I just called DCL and pretended to be a new cruiser... We were hoping to upgrade to a veranda -- What we had booked on the cruise DCL cancelled on us... STOP! LOOOOONG story..... Anyway, I called to check availability and was told SOLD OUT!!!

Has this been on before and I just missed it?

I have never sailed on a full ship... Are my Palo ressies really an endangered species?

Sounds like you were getting internet thru Verizon's data service which is some 4 letter abbreviation I can't remember right now, something like GPRS. Yep, try syncing it, but you may have to go back to the dealer, sounds like something is turned off.

I tried to add my 4 yr old Dneice to our ressie and first they said it was a code yellow sailing , and then they said sure she can come for $1400!!!!!! Uhm no thanks ! LOL

They might be out of Cat 5 & 6's that will hold 4 (which I think is what is in your party) but that doesn't mean the ship is sold out.

Looks like they reached the capacity of kids. When I just put in us as two adults I got all those cabins, but I tried to put in two adults and two kids (picked ages 8 & 10) and it gave me no availability.

No - some other reason for no connection - most likely it needs to reboot. Take the battery out - wait a minute - then restart it... see if that works...

Thanks. I was trying to get on here yesterday from the office...during our little meeting with the BIL....boy was I bummed out THEN! LOL It's one thing to deal with him, but totally another to not be able to DIS!!!

Verizon uses CDMA and EDVO..... hehe - being picky with Mark and acronyms....
