When Kelly was about 4 or 5, she went through this phase her dad and I call her "preschool PMS" phase. She would be crying, and we'd ask her why, and she would say, "I don't know, I just need to cry".

It was a trip! The "outside creatures' have gooley eyeballs and they tend to wave around their appendages a lot...then they have some lazer or light that shoots out of their eyes or their hands.......The little ones tend to jump up and down a lot also.

Does anyone else loathe cleanig up as much as I do? I mean to the point where you procrastinate? I work all week all long and deal with the kids all week, that when sat/sun get here all I want is LAZY time..sometimes I feel like the only person that feels this way.

Amanda, you're definitely not the only one that feels that way! DH nags about how I "clean" house ... but does he lift a finger to help? He does help fold laundry but that's about the extent of it. I REALLY hate cleaning ... especially when he's sitting on his rear watching TV.

Now, I cant complain about DH. I am embarrassed to admit, but Ithink he does more cleaning than I do. He takes care of the living room/kitchen....I am responsible for the bathrooms and bedroom.....and nagging the kids to clean theirs...

No you are not, I do enough to keep the place livable and DH has learnt to help and come Monday I'm happy to go to work so I don't have to feel guilty about not wanting to clean, but now I have those magical cloths so it was fun cleaning this weekend

Earlier I just collected a bunch of stuff that was all over the first floor and put it on the kitchen table. Told the kids that either they put it away before bedtime or I was throwing it all out. Of course I got the "you'd throw out my Nintendo DS?" No, THAT I'd sell on ebay!!!

I give the kids each a bag and they have to put 27 of there own things in it and then we throw it out!! It's amazing the junk toys they find to put in so they don't have to put what they like in

I'm doing laundry today, in between DISing, and working on my cruise folder. DH has been planted in front of the television all afternoon.......hard to not grumble as I wander by, hauling the laundry basket.........

I hate cleaning too and always tell DH that 'my parents never brought me into this world to be the maid' !!! My kids do the minimal they can in the house and I really need to get them helping more and be consistant

I do grumble to myself a bit (usually if I'm overtired) but in my case, this IS my job. Mike's job is to go out and make a buck so we can live here, eat and go to WDW and on cruises. My job is the house, and to a large extent, the kids. I could NOT even imagine getting done what I need to get done with them if I had an outside job (all of their running around and classes and audtions and plays)...but then again, if they were in school, then they probably wouldn't do all of that.

So when I start feeling down about "my share" of the responsibility, I think to myself "would I rather have an outside job?" Nah!! Especially on those cold, snowy mornings!

That's why I said it's hard to NOT grumble....I don't...but I still would like to. But...like you, I'm lucky enough to set my own schedule, even when I do go to the office. So therefore, I am really not entitled to "grumble".
And Jay does help with a lot of the kid-running...and he cooks sometimes, and cleans up after himself. I really can't complain. Wouldn't do me any good anyway, since no one would listen.

Virgil...you are so smart! I finally got my manual out (don't faint, Jim) for the Treo. I did take the battery out, like you suggested, and that worked. It's in the manual! It's called a "Soft Reset". Wow. I'm impressed.
And it also says in the manual that if the stylus isn't working correctly, I need to simply adjust the screen. Wow. And here I thought I had broken it.

Jim says he is proud of you for reading the manual. He is impressed because I usually say "Hey Matt" (Jim gets irritated with me if my problem is something he has already told me how to do / how to fix. Matt is much for "lienient" with me.)

Exercising just cost me $35. We were all downstairs doing the circuit (treadmill, total gym, gazelle, trampoline) when we heard a loud CRASH. It was the cat. Knocking my ceramic OSU platter/veggie/fruit dish off of the garden window shelf. The one I got for Christmas from Mike's family. Luckily I've seen them at my local Hallmark. (sigh) That will have to be replaced. Grrrrrr

I hear the Michigan ones are a bit less expensive.........
