The DIS Double Scoop Wine has arrived.

Many of you may remember that I special order wine for each cruise. This cruise selection is a mild red. ​

We call it "Red Chevy". It's a French wine. Here is a review: "Very smooth mild everyday drinking red wine from Southern France. Mild tannins, semi-dry flavors of black cherries".

If you want a bottle or two, send me a PM and I'll have them brought to the ship for you. If you want a case, I'll have that too. But we need to talk about how we can make that happen.

Cost is $20/bottle. I thought about adding a couple of bucks to the price to help pay for my spa treatment, but decided not to. My cost.

You can pay on the ship with a crisp $20 or just do a room credit through Guest Services.

We will take them to the 3:00 PM mini-meet for delivery or the kids will deliver them to your room.

Question ... can (should) these to be opened & consumed on the cruise or is that a faux pas?

Amanda, how's Nate? And more importantly, how are you?


My mom alway said an emergency room visit is just a rite of passage in a kid's (and a parent's) life and growing up isn't complete without at least one visit...

Thanks for asking. Nate is doing better. He does tell me occassionally that his head hurts. I just feel so bad for him and if he is doing anything other that sitting still my heart jumps in my throat again! I am so scared that he will hurt himself more..so I am trying to stay calm. I have to go back to the DR on WEDS to get the stitches taken out.

Thanks to Sandi for pointing out the error on my newspaper door sign. I had the "Magic Sets Sale" instead of "Magic Sets Sail". I've tweaked it a little and will have to decide which layout I like best. Still can't decide if I'll laminate or buy the magnetic paper.

In all the drame here in the past 2 days, I did not have a chance to tell you that I really like your sign!

Also, I called Disney Visa to have our points converted to $$$ for the cruise and found out that the card may not get here (CT) until the 23rd...so, if you wanted to use your dollars on the cruise--start calling them now so you have it in time for sailing. They also told me that if you'll be in Orlando, you can go to Downtown Disney and pick up an "onsite card" from customer relations.

Do any of you know the best way to get there? In other words, which part of the parking lot should I park in to get to the movie theaters near customer relations?

We didn't go to that end of DTD. We went to the Marketplace end. Guest SErvices was somewhere between World of Disney and Once Upon a Toy (generally speaking) It was a pretty simple process although the CM's there couldnt' do ALL of it. I GOT the card from the CM's, but then had to step out of line to call Disney Visa on my cell phone to actually have the points transferred to the card.

Does that help??

I'd think whatever you wanted to do was fine. We brought our 10 day wine home and just drank it a few months ago. Kinda a nice memory of the cruise.

Humm....that's the point of taking wine on the ship. To drink it and not spill it on the carpet like I did tonight.

Thank you for telling me...I'll put their number in the phone book (on the cell). They specifically mentioned the one next to the theater. I guess any one should do.

Tonight I did not have to go to Orlando with Sharon for gym. It's parent meeting night and I don't do parent meetings.

This gives me a chance to DIS and read my Scurba Diving magazine which just came today. It has a review of Coz and how most of the dive operations are back up and running.

It also has a big article about Turks & Caicos. Fun reading.

Ray is going to Turks & Caicos on Tuesday... (his 'vacation' before his Vacation).

Quiet here too... Ray and Christopher went to the Predators game, and Elizabeth is sleeping at a friends... so I'm watching mindless TV and DIS'ing... I should be packing.
